Andrew Averbach, M.D. I really liked him...professional and able to answer all of my questions. He also was very interested in answering my questions and making sure I asked everything that was on my mind. I've only had one visit with him thus far, so I have nothing negative to say at this point. Aftercare was emphasized, as was individual commitment to the program afterwards. Results vary by patient, and I know this as I've seen different success rates from friends who have undergone surgery. There is a structured aftercare program built around the support group. The risks of surgery were discussed at the seminar, so I didn't have but a few questions. Despite the very straight to the point personality, I managed to make him smile--so he was able to show his human side, and that's always good. Surgical competence is of utmost importance to me, however good bedside manner is also great.

Monday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!
