Surgeon Testimonial

Stephen Gooden, M.D.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gooden. He is the absolute best!! So far, I've had no complications (almost 3 weeks post-op as of this writing). He has the greatest bedside manner of ANY physician I've ever encountered, on top of being a very skilled and experienced surgeon. He genuinely cares about the welfare of his patients. Add to that a fantastic sense of humor, and you have a near-perfect doctor. I'd recommend him to any and everyone!!!! And if you're not exactly near Augusta, but elsewhere in Georgia or South Carolina, and you're looking for a surgeon, he's definitely worth traveling for. You can't go wrong with Dr. Gooden!

Amy, I know you had a great surgeon with Dr. Gooden. And I'm sure you are going to like your "new" body very much as time goes by. I see you struggled to get here and that will make the winning/losing all the sweeter. YOU GO GIRL!!! : )

Amy, I am happy to hear you have made it through to the other side. I too would be disappointed, I'm sure, if my surgery was converted to open, but I would definitely perfer to be safer. I hope when you return home you are able to relax and be comfortable in your own bed. I'll keep check in on you girl and if you need me, give a call. Rose in Augusta

Weight Loss (And Birthday Weekend!) Update
on August 1, 2007 1:11 pm
I'm in shock! I just weighed - 263lbs ! And that's with clothes on, in the middle of the day AND on the first day of my period! So I'm down (counting the clothes and water weight) 37 lbs since April. WOOHOO!!!! I'm only 5 lbs shy of my all-time lowest post-op weight of 257 lbs - and I hope and pray to get even lower than THAT! Keep your fingers crossed!!

My birthday weekend as a BLAST! I am so very blessed with such wonderful friends and family.
