2-18-10 One Month Post-OP

I am exactly 1 month post-op today. I have lost a total of 33 pounds in one month. That is wonderful, but why don't I feel wonderful? I feel frustrated and impatient and I'm not even an impatient person. I stepped on the scale this morning and actually gained a pound since the last week. GAINED!!! I was expecting to see a 3-4 pound weight loss like I have every week since surgery. I don't know why but its put me in this "did the surgery really work for me?" kinda mood. I know if I would have lost 33 pounds ANY other way in a month, I'd just be jumping for joy and I am proud that I have lost that much but for some reason I just am in this slump. It might have something to do with me being on my period right now and my emotions are all out of wack anyhow.

I have ventured out and tried a few new foods since my last post.
Some of the things I've had have been:
Grilled Chicken Snack Wrap from McDonald's
Half a bagel with fat free cream cheese
Deviled Eggs
Spaghetti
Tuna Salad on Crackers
Soft taco from Taco Bell
Easy Mac Mac N Cheese

Everything has been sitting really well with me and I look forward to this summer so I can get out and walk and run around after my daughter to up my exercise. Right now, I don't do any exercise since we have been snowed in so I am really hopin that this summer, I really burn off those calories!

Anyone have a treadmill or elliptical they need to get rid of? lol I'll take it off your hands!!!

Amy you are doing great,33lbs wow! Don't get down over a 1lbs, it'll come off. I urge you to get the exercise in, go to the mall & walk, it'll help!CB

Amy I feel your frustration. I am 6 weeks out, down 30 and have been setting on this same area for about 2 weeks now. Up 1-2, down 1-2 pounds.

33 is great :) I was stuck in 170-175 for over a month.. sometimes you gain a pound (or 3) and then you lose (it's all related to crazy hormones) hehe
