Feb 22, 08 - Hannah Marie was born at 8:34 on Feb 13th. My water broke Tuesday evening, but I wasn't dilating or having any contractions so they let me wait on my doctor in the next morning to do the c-section.
Hannah weighed 6lbs and 11oz and was 19 inches long. We had a pretty difficult c-section. She kept running away from the doctor. Even with using a vaccum she couldn't get her out. Even the anestheislogist had to help push on my stomach to hold her in place so the doctor could get her out. I knew it was taking longer than it should and was so scared that something was wrong with my baby. Her first cry was the best sound I've ever heard!
I had some complications with blood clots after the surgery and ended up being sedated so I could stand the pain of them pushing on my stomach to try to get them out. One nurse even mentioned the word hysterectomy which scared me to death. Praise the Lord, they were able to get the bleeding stopped.
I'm breastfeeding, but for a few days we had to supplement with formula to help get rid of Hannah's jaundince. We are now straight on boobie juice only. She lost down to 6lbs 1oz, but a few days ago she was up to 6lbs 3 oz.
I never dreamed I would have such a small baby! I also never dreamed I would all my weight so fast. My last recorded weight before I got pregnant was 220. The day my water broke I weighed 239.5. One week after Hannah was born I weighed 215.5. So I'm 4.5 pounds less than what I was before I got pregnant! Well think I'm going to go catch a fast nap while she is sleeping.
Here's some pictures.
