I'm home from the hospital. Surgery went well. I'm in a lot of pain. Trying to keep moving every hour. Sitting in a chair most of the day. Easier to get in and out of. This is how the last 48 hours went: On a clear liquid diet on the 28th. At midnight I stopped drinking and eat ting anything. At 345am my husband and I headed  to Ocala, a 2 hour drive from where we live. We arrived at hospital at 545am. Checked in and received a blood test. Then a couple hour waiting period in the surgical prep room were my husband was allowed to stay with me. I was given a breathing treatment, a pregnancy test and was put in my gown, footsie and cap. They put the IV in and the next thing I knew I was in my room. I know I had to be up in the recovery room but I don't remember any of it.. Ice chips were my best friend. The hospital staff was fantastic. With the exception of getting me up to walk around a but I mainly staying it the recliner chair and slept. They allowed my husband to stay in the room with me which help out a lot. The next morning  they took the nose tube and the cafeter  out. They served breakfast and lunch but I had no desire to eat, I did drink some SF apple juice and SF jello. Had a class with everyone that had surgery the same day I did on how to use the Gtube.After that we meet with Dr Jawad, he filled out some paperwork & said he was releasing me. I got one more pain killer and a breathing treatment and off we went home. Had to stop half way home to walk around a bit. Going to attempt to clean out the gtube now. This should be interesting. More to come tomorrow.

Been on clear liquids all day. Just took my Milk of M. Going to eat some more jello before 7pm, then water till midnight. Also need to take my 1st shower by 830pm and 2nd by 230am. We leave here by 345am. Does't look like either of us are sleeping tonight.

It's getting close. Getting very nervous. Keep questions it but I know I've made the right decision. I have to forget what I'll be giving up and think about what I will be gaining. Ordering all my supplements today from BariatricChoice.com. It should be here by Monday or Tuesday. Also need to pick up the prescription meds today. Worried about my eczema, it's really acting up and my ankles are infected. Trying to get rid of the infection before the surgery or they won't let me have it.

Well  my date has been changed. I was told over the phone that it was the 23rd. In fact 10 min after I talk to them I entered it on this site. They are claiming that they never told me that & it has always been the 29th. My husband too vacation time that week and now cannot change it. He is hoping to get the day of the surgery and the day after so he can drive. Unfortunately he will not be able to help with our son the 1st week. My mother law is helping but she has a bad back. It should be an interesting week since my son is almost 2. I am so aggravated at the office staff. They (not the whole staff but most of them) seem very incompetent since the beginning.
