Demanding More......
on October 24, 2012 8:08 am

Today, I say I deserve better.

As part of the post op process, I like many others have gotten this physically attractive body and as a result, I’ve gotten a lot of attention from all kinds of individuals of the opposite sex. I enjoy the attention and I have gone out on some dates.

Then, I finally opened myself up to someone. I realized that in this area of my life I had not demanded better in the past or even at this point. I had not set standards and expectations for the opposite sex. If there are no standards, then a person will do whatever he/ she thinks they can to you. A relationship should be mutually beneficial and both persons should feel as if their needs are getting met. If you have never decided what is important to you or communicated your needs to your partner, then you can’t have the relationship that you want and you can't provide them with the relationship that they want. (Note:  It is not what others feel is important to you.  It is about what is important to you and if that person meets your needs.)

So…..today…..I say I demand better.   Today, I am working to define what is important to me and what I want out of a relationship.  And, based on the attention, I know their is surely available mates out there.

Thank you pal for assisting me in this process! (Jerry Graise in Missouri at Facebook.com.  He has lot of friends.  Feel free to contact him.)

Exercise..Excercise..How Fun?
on September 10, 2012 8:57 am
This weekend I went to an exercise/ dance studio and participated in some different types of exercise classes…pole dancing, video vixen, kickboxing with a little twist, etc. I was at this place for 2 hours working out.

The classes were awesome!

Every once in a while I need a change in my exercise routine and this was truly be a good one.

Some of the classes were more “dance” like and some were hard core working out.

I truly go to the gym to work out and not dance but I will say that in the dance classes I had fun. In the kickboxing class, I worked out.

Have a great day all!

Carbs..carbs..My Friends
on August 21, 2012 9:52 am

Carbs pre op was one of my friends. I loved them. I had them all the time.

Carbs post op and almost two years out I don’t have them a lot but when I want them I do have them.

I can process them better than sugar. This is bad.

I usually don’t have more than one piece of bread with any meal.

For instance, I am really thinking about a turkey burger for lunch right now. I would likely have a turkey burger for lunch with either the top or bottom of the bun. It will take lunch and snack to finish it all.

I try not to eat too many carbs because they are slider calories and I can take in more of them than chicken, etc. which is more dense and fills me up quicker.

I have carbs in moderation and I try to eat in moderation.

Our tool will work if we work it!!!!!!

 Have a great day!!!!!

Gauging Weight Loss..Maintenance..Etc.
on August 21, 2012 9:49 am

How do I gauge my weight loss or maintenance?

I do not get on the scale like I use to. I do occasionally check though.

For me, I have some a couple pairs of pants that I use. I know if the pants get too tight. I am “fluffy”.  If they are loose and I can wear them with a crease, then I am on point.  Today, I can fit in my pants so I am feeling pretty good.

How do you monitor your weight loss and/ or maintenance?

Exercise..Exercise...Post Op
on August 21, 2012 9:33 am
Today is another day to get moving.

I want to admit that I like I would think most other people have their highs and lows in the area of exercise.

For me, I have accepted that it is an evil necessary.

I have to get moving. I have to get moving for my life and for my kids, who are my number one priority.

With the everyday changes of life such as the kids are now on the football fields three days a week and school has started versus a couple weeks ago where we didn’t have any activities……….my exercise routine changes as my life/ schedule changes.

I also get bored and I change up my routine.

I have done Turbo fire and it is great.

I have done Zumba class and it was okay.

I love hard core cadio and lifting weights.

And, of course, walking…..walking….walking can be done any and everywhere.

So, in all, I have accepted that I must do it and I try to do it as often as possible at least three days a week.

Early in my process the more I got moving the more weight I loss.

Now, I can see the more I get moving the better I look in my clothes. Some days I feel “fluffy” and when I do, I know I need to change something and I move.

Have a great day!!!
