Self Reflections
on June 28, 2011 10:10 am
Today, I want to say that I am happy.

Today I will say that in each area (personal, career, relationship and financial) I have improved.

I will say that a lot of it has to do with the confidence that losing weight has provided me. It also has to do with doing the “emotional” homework.

I have and I am continuing to take back my life.

For all of those working through the “emotional” part of weight loss, BE ENCOURAGED!  It can be done. I promise you.

And, when you do the “emotional” homework, the physical weight loss part of this process is easier, you will make yourself a priority and not to mention others will see you in a different light and deal with you in a different way.

Keep up the good job!

Have a great day!

Getting Rid of Old Clothes
on June 28, 2011 10:05 am
I am finally starting to REALLY clean out my closet.

I am finally ready to let go.

I am keeping a couple pairs of pants to see where I have come from and where I don’t ever want to be again.

It’s not easy but I am ready to move on.

The person who fit those clothes is no longer me and there is nothing that can justify keeping them…

No I am not going to get them taken..

No I am not going to keep them and have them take up space in my house..

No..   No..   No..

The list of Nos goes on …and it is time to get let them go!

Personal Trainer
on June 28, 2011 10:02 am
I am trying to use my Club Fitness membership a little more.  (You know I am one who loves to brisk walk.)

I finally took advantage of the free session with a personal trainer.

My body is so sore right now. I am sitting at my desk wishing I could go home.

I told the trainer I really want nice arms and let me tell you he took this seriously.

When working out with the trainer yesterday, he corrected my form for push ups and waited (noted I said waited) for me to do two sets of 10 push ups.  He said you can curse me out if you want to but I am here for you and you can do it.    LOL!

He had me do all kinds of exercises and provided me with a program to follow over the next couple weeks.

Just sharing…

Have a great day all!

Working Out....
on June 24, 2011 7:22 am
Lordee….   Lordee….   I went to the gym yesterday and the instructor really worked me out.   I really enjoy brisk walking for a couple miles as it is so calming but I am want some nice arms and boy this is going to take some work. I about died when the instructor wanted us to do push ups for a minute at various times.

I kept trying to think of my two favorite quotes (noted below) when working out yesterday.   If you want it, go after it.   If you want something different, you are going to have to do something different.
If anyone has recommendation about an arm workout, feel free to send them to me.

Thanks all!

Have a great day all!

Keeping It Going...
on June 21, 2011 7:07 am
On my desk, I have two Muscle Milk Light 100 calories shakes (Vanilla) with 15 grams of protein each and 0 sugar. I get the ready made ones that cost 4 for $6.50 from Walmart. I also have the Diet Snapple Singles (Raspberry Tea flavor) on my desk. I get a box of these from Dollar Tree for $1.00. Each single has 5 calories/ 0 sugar/ 0 Protein. It REALLY helps me to have something to drink available at all times.

I have already had a Pure Protein Bar 180 calories / 20g protein/ 2 grams of sugar and 16 oz of water. I had this for breakfast because I wanted to chocolate or the closet thing I had :). This will really hold me to lunch time, which will likely be a chicken breast OR a salad (lettuce and other veggies only). Snack will likely be a protein shake around 3 pm and another protein shake for the drive home with water in between my meals.  Dinner will depend on my calories I have left for the day and how full I feel with an emphasis on getting my protein in.

Vitamins…they are in process.

Lets see whatelse….

I went to “group” last night. It is always helpful to go to group therapy sessions to “talk” and/or  offer support to those that are “talking”. I had not been in about a month or so. It was good last night.

Just wanted to share!

Have a wonderful day all!
