12 Months Out - Yeah Baby! :)
on December 27, 2011 12:02 pm
HELLO ALL,

My one year surgery anniversary has come and gone.

I first want to tell everyone that if you are thinking about it…DO IT!

I thought about it several years and wish I would have done it a lot sooner.

I am down about 116 lbs since last year at this same time.

I am happy and healthy.

I am living and not existing!!!!

And …let me tell you..this is such an awesome way to live.

I have about 20 lbs or so to go before I reach my final goal.

I look forward to this upcoming year and maintaining my weight.

P.S.

Keeping it real…

I did eat a little more than normal (i.e. normal for me) over the holidays. I guess tis the season. I also enjoyed family and friends with the focus on conversation and gift giving. I cooked cobblers and was excited to give them away. I enjoyed conversations with my new outlook on life. The focus was not food for me.

I will say….

I have seen myself try to slip into some old habits through my journey….like eating late, or drinking less water, or drinking too much coffee, or occasionally eating the wrong thing and having gas, not being consistent with exercise….and on and on… (This is just me being honest so you know that I am NOT perfect.)

I didn’t beat myself up but I did give myself the talk of…what it took to take it off ..it will take to keep it off! Eating in “gastric” portion sizes is a must!

I have gone up and down about exercise throughout the whole journey but again  what it took to get here..it will take to stay here! Exercise is a must!

The world will change their view of you when you change your view of you…what it took to get here…it will take to stay here! I love me!

I am here and I am so happy!!!
