Surgery was on 5/23.

Well made it through the surgery. It's been a week today(5/30)
I have already lost 8lbs.  So that of course thrills me to no end.

Don't even remember going into surgery or coming out of it.
The actual worst part was when they took out that drainage tube...HOLY SH*T!!!  

Just not ready for that...lol. The nurse Marilyn who was one of my favorites at Gateway...said "Now, this is going to feel a little strange..."

Strange....strange? LOL....since when does pulling something from the inside of your body out...feel...STRANGE?  

I"m telling you right now...it hurt!  But the pain did not last all that long. The next hurtle was counting the minutes to ICE CHIP DAY...lol. It was the day after the surgery and man, ice chips never tasted soooooo good...nor vegetable broth...lol...(that was the day after ice chip day)...I can't remember ever being so excited over iced tea with a little lemon...but I will tell you this...had I been capable of doing a jig...I promise you I would have.

Anyway...today has been one week. I hope my progress continues at this wonderful speed.
One word of advice to other newbies...get up and start walking right away...and follow the instructions on excercise from day one at home. It will help you soooo much.
