ITS GETTING CLOSER

Ok so heres whats been going on- Ive been really busey trying to get ready for Christmas just incase i dont feel up to it afterwards.  This is really benefiting me too as all my kids want those must have toys and right now there still all around.  So I went to the hospital today and meet with Tina-Marie the bariatric nurse coordinator.  We went over the entire surgery and post-op, which was great it eased any concerns i had.  And I left with this awsome food journel.  So usually we spend black friday putting up the xmas tree but im kinda thinking of doing the night before my surgery to unwind and spend time with my kids, will see.  So I have lost all of my fear and I am very excited and I cant wait to be skinny!

Nov 7th UP-DATE

Ok so I had my final surgon appt today along with my final weigh in. Soooo I gained 1 lb., i dont even think he looked!  He said nothing about my weight>  However he did give me a test about the surgey, and what to expect(i got 3 wrong) but again he didnt seem to worry he just wnt over my wrong answers and explained them to me.  So then i got my 2weeks preop shakes that i start on Monday (oh Yum Yum).  So this will be painstakingly interesting.  So anyways we had a great Halloween, weather was beautiful here  in Jersey my kids were Dora, a rockstar Diva and Jason and my cute litte maltipoo was a ladybug.  So now i wait until my next appt which is the 12th with the hospital- i'll let ya'll know how that goes!

So I Finally Have A Date!!!

So Im fianally approved and have a date!!!! Im so happy and scared, kinda stuck in too emotions at once.   The next 5 weeks are gonna feel like forever!  Something funny- I took my 3yr old daughter Maiya to the Doctors yesterday and the doctor came in the room and bent down to her and said to her " hello how are you, are you fine today?"  and Maiya responded " im not FINE im MAIYA! "  it was soooo cute, just had to share.  So i go next on the 7th for a final weigh in and to get my protien shakes.  Im very nervous, i need to find away to calm that.  Wish me luck, Angie

And into the insurance it goes!!!!

Ok So I talked to Tina tonight and she is submitting everything into my insurance company tommorow morning.  I am so nervous I really hope it goes through fast.  I had my 2nd support group meeting tonight, and oh i passed my heart stress test with flying colors, Thank GOD!!!!!
  Well i keep it posted for when my approval comes through wish me luck!!!

Im Getting there update!

Ok so the pulmonary doc wants me to go for a stress test before he can approve me and my nutrition evalutation is bumped to this Tuesday.  Things are still going quickly, i think surgery will be the first week of Nov.  Hope so.... Anyways Im glad to see alot of my friends on here are doing great! Lets all keep the good work up!!!

My Story

Ok so this is my story!!! My name is Angie i am 30 years old with a wonderful husband Randy.  We have three beautiful children Taylor, Maiya and Marissa!  They are the center of my world.  I have been diabetic now for 10 years and even though Ive kept perfect A1C's my diabetes seems to winning, it is always beating me down.  Unless you have diabetes you could never actually understand how much a disease can beat you down so bad and that the beatens from this disease change constantly.  Well Ive had enough and that is why Ive opted for the RNY.  I started the percedure 5years ago with a differnt surgeon that didnt make me feel comfortable and I got scared so I backed out.  But this time ive found a surgeon that makes me feel safe so this time im not backing down no matter how scared I get.  The support group seems to be helpful but it is hugh, and i feel getting questions in is maybecome hard.  My Avatar, She is the girl i see myself as inside a beautiful girl with strength!  I think after i get this weight off and get laser eye surgey I will look like her! Will see... And yes I need the laser eye  surgery because my eyes were chemically burned a few years back and while they healed completely, they are super sensitive to contact lenses.  Ok so back to my life, I have a great support team, I live in typical suburbia with hubsand, kids and the dog!  My parents live 4 houses down one way and my brother and his family live 6 houses down the other.  So yes  my house is the meeting spot for everything!  Everyone is very supportive of my surgery, especially my mother, whom I could not get through life without......  So this is my life and here starts the fresh one!!!
