Im Getting there update!

Ok so the pulmonary doc wants me to go for a stress test before he can approve me and my nutrition evalutation is bumped to this Tuesday.  Things are still going quickly, i think surgery will be the first week of Nov.  Hope so.... Anyways Im glad to see alot of my friends on here are doing great! Lets all keep the good work up!!!

Staring my Journey!!!

Hi everyone I am very new to this but it seems to be going fast!!! My name is Angie and I have been over weight since the age of 7.  I was really in active as a little kid so my mom put me in dance school and thats when my weight blew up! Go FIGURE!  I have been thinking about WLS alot and even attempted like 5yrs ago but got to scared and back out.  But now with all of my complications from my diabetes I am determined to go through with it or this disease is going to kill oneday to soon.  So I started this newJourney last Monday night when I went to my 1st support group meeting for Dr. Wasser.  It was great everyone was so helpful and supportive, I really need this (support that is).  So Tina from insurance called me on wednesday and said that my insurance said I have no wait - NO WAIT!  I thought that was amazing! So she said start seeing all these doctors and come in on the 25th and well get it going.  So  so far so good, had my pscy evaluation last Friday and this week I see everyone else.  Im so scared I think you need the 6months to get yourself prepared. In one aspect I wish I had it and in the other if I had 6 months then I would be to afraid I talk myself out of the surgery.  Well I'll keep you all posted wish me luck as I do you. - Angela
