I am researching having gastric bypass surgery but am needing any information of what I need to start doing to prepare myself for it. I have wanted it for years but, just now at the point of feeling as though I have hit bottom and sick and tired of not being healthy and my mobility being restricted by my weight. I am looking through this website and finding lots of answers to questions and I have already picked a doctor for when I have everything done that needs to be to have surgery but, I know there are things I have to do before and not real sure what they are!  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to figure out what all I need to do to pursue gastric bypass surgery from requirements all the way down to what has to stop before surgery...Things you can and cannot do or have before... how long the process can take...moreless just how do I get the ball in motion for life as I know it to be everything it can be while getting healthy. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row and be doing things I need to before I actually go to a surgeon and see what else they require.
