Surgeon Testimonial

Stephen Marshall, M.D.
Dr. Marshall is a no nonsense surgeon. He is straight to the point and makes sure you understand what you are commiting to. I would recommend Dr. Marshall to anyone to was considering WLS. My incisions are small and my brusing was minimal. (I had Laprosocpic RNY). He is the best at what he does. Dr. Marshall's beside manner is something to be desired but believe me I would much rather have a skilled surgeon than a joker.

One Year Surgiversary!!!!!!!!!!
on February 13, 2009 6:22 am
Today is the day...right about now, one year ago today, I was sitting in a holding room waiting to start my WLS journey.  In 365 days I have lost 135lbs!  I am so proud!  I am marking today with a very special gift to myself, my first tattoo.  I have always wanted a tattoo but said I would wait until I lost all of my weight, well, I did just that sooo off I go.  This has been a very exciting journey for me.  I am thrilled with my results, I may be 10lbs away from my personal goal but I will tell you, I am not at all disappointed.  I feel great, look fabulous and have truly a better life all the way around.  I am committing to myself and everyone that those last 10lbs will come off and I will continue to live the healthy lifestyle WLS has given me.  I have been given a second chance at life and I want to live and live healthly!!

One Year later....
on February 11, 2009 7:40 am
I haven't blogged through most of my journey and now I am bearing down on my one year mark.  I think I have done extremely well.  I have lost 133lbs in 12 months, I am 11lbs away from my goal weight of 145. Little depressed about that but I keep reminding myself the feat I have accomplished.  This has been the best journey of my life. I am happy, healthy and recently I found out I am an inspiration to others...Thanks Tiff and her family!  You guys have really helped me understand the impact I can have on someone's life..  I am commiting the next several months to shedding those last 11 lbs and seeing 145, I think that is a sensible weight for someone who is 5'6 3/4 in.  But truly I should be happy at 157. To all who read this and are considering surgery all I have to say is in my situation its the best thing I ever did and I would do it a thousand times over again!

Well its been a while since I updated so here it goes!  I am down 55lbs!!!!!! WHOOHOO! I am wondering how "on target" I am .  I am finally at the weight I was when I delivered my son- 11 years ago.  Its amazing that in 9 weeks I have shed 11 years!   The really cool thing is now to about 180 I have no idea what I will look like or what size I will wear!  I am on cloud nine! I have 97 more to loose til goal! Only 20 more until I am at the half way point!

33.1 lbs in 33 days! I am so excited! My clothes are getting very big on me!  Things are going well for me . The pain I have had in my left side is gone. My body aches a little from time to time but other than that I am doing well.  I will check back soon!

Well things are going well.  I have lost 23lbs and counting. I am struggling to get in all of my protien and it worries me but I will prevail, I know I will.  My clothes are starting to fit a lot better. I haven't shrunk out of any of them but I did wear the same size for many years. I guess I was blessed with the way I carry my weight.  Overall I think I am doing well.
