Surgeon Testimonial

Brian M. Long
Had a fabulous experience with Dr. Long at Sibley Hospital in DC. He was caring, direct, kind, and extremely good about answering questions. the office staff is above-average. it's a small-ish program so there's a lot of attention paid to each patient. Brian Wallace, the FNP who runs the program was always available on the phone for questions, concerns, fears, etc. very friendly and knowledgeable and i felt very well taken care of.

dr long has great surgical competence and very good bedside manner. one issue i did have in the hospital was not getting some maintenance medications with very nasty side effects if stopped suddenly, which was a problem that i've addressed with him

i would go back to dr. long and the program at sibley without hesitation. from surgeon to office staff it's a top-notch program.

Well, i've never tried this before -- not that interesting a person.  so, here goes!

i'm right at the beginning of my vsg journey: have a surgeon, had my consults, waiting for paperwork to be submitted to ins co.

excited but scared too.  what in the world will my life be like with 20 percent of my stomach?  what will i really be able to eat?  will i be able to lose 100 lbs?  is my 130 goal to unrealistic??  is it really a good idea?!?!?

i guess this is just the natural progression of the wls journey.  as it becomes more real then it will become more scary -- but more exciting!!!!!

hoping to get together with some local folks so i can build up my support -- have so much with family and friends, but really need to have someone to talk to who has gone thru it!

that's it for now.  i'm no eggface!!!!!
