Surgeon Testimonial

Margaret M. Inman M.D.

I chose Dr. Inman to be my surgeon simply because she is the only Medicare approved DS surgeon in Indiana. My initial consultation was on December 4th, 2006, and really liked what I heard. Both Dr. Inman and her staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to answer any questions. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrn rnMom & Dadrn rnrn

I love to smoke
on July 26, 2006 12:00 am
Grrr I HATE WAITING! That's all I'm doing! Waiting, waiting, waiting... ANYWAY... I know I have to stop smoking to go through all this, and I have faith I will be able to. But it will be soooo hard. I have smoked for a long time and have tried to quit a few times, which of course didn't take. But, I am planning my quit date for October 1. That will make me 3 months smoke free when I start the process. I will definitely quit, as I know it's a cigarette or surgery. But there isn't much better than a menthol right now! :( This is pathetic...

Doing the Switcheroo
on July 19, 2006 12:00 am
ok, I've decided. Finally. After all this time planning on having the RNY, I've decided I want to have the duodenal switch. I've thought about it for a long time, but last night really made up my mind. I don't want to worry about ulcers, dumping, getting food stuck, or stretching the pouch. It just makes more sense for me to have the DS. Now for the easy part. My surgeon will be Margaret Inman. Not only is she the only surgeon allowed by Medicare for this, she is the only one in Indiana who performs it! So that's it. DS by Inman. I realize it's not going to happen until probably January, but the time just keeps getting closer, considering I've been waiting for a couple years. I've spent a lot of time researching lately, and it has finally became clear what I need. Yay! I'm excited.

Oh my aching hands!
on July 11, 2006 12:00 am
I think my Carpal tunnel is getting the best of me. My hands hurt sooo much. I cannot get a good nights sleep because they wake me up several times a night. I'm thinking that CT surgery should be first on my list when my insurance comes into effect. So that's my news for today. My hands hurt.
