Surgeon Testimonial

Joseph Kuhn, M.D.
I love Dr. Kuhn, just wish I had the courage to do something sooner. He's such a sweet and patient man. He understood my fears and he really listened to me. With God and Dr. Kuhn all things are possible.

14 Months Post Op
on May 8, 2009 5:43 am
I sit here in amazement as I realize just how much my life has changed in such a short amount of time. I've lost 208 lbs so far and I'm praying that I'm not done just yet. I would like to lose another 60 lbs if possible. However, I'm grateful for the lost thus far. I will be having plastic surgery done on June 4 just 6 days shy of being 15 months post-op. I understand many feel that they need to wait until they're 18 months post-op or until their weight loss has stablized. However, I don't like the image I see in the mirror. My stomach is almost to my knees and it stinks to high heaven underneath. The kids at school as well as mine's at home seem to think my arms are something to play with. They enjoy making it jiggle like jello. Yes, I hate that and try to avoid showing my arms and we all know that's nearly impossible. So I'm going to address the issues that I'm not please with now. Both surgeons agree that the removal of the skin will make me feel better and I will be able to lose more weight. So, I'm willing to try that. As for the other side of the coin what if I lose more weight and still have saggy skin? I believe I will still look better than I do now perhaps more natural. I still work out twice a day for about 2 and 1/2 hours a day. I love exercising because it's my release of stress. Now I come home and cook dinner for my children daily. My activity level has increased so much and my kids and I are always doing something outside. I almost feel guilty about taking another summer from my kids but in return they are getting a more fit and healthy mom.. Also, I'm trying to date again which will be the first time in over 9 years. Guys are flirting with me and I'm flirting with them. Let's see what happens. Oh, yea this week I put on a size 14/16 top for the first time since high school. I can't wait until my pants size is a 14 also. That will be the first time since high school. Did I mention that I'm lovin my RNY.
