    From reading your story i gather u had surgery at keesler AFB My husband is retired AF I met w/Dr. Dolan but he wouldn't do my surgery because of my many medical problems so he referred me to Mobile Infirmary w/ Dr. Jeffrey Hannon I go for my posto 04/02/09 gastric bypass i live in D'Iberville, Ms Hope everything goes ok while your husband is gone

    Thursday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

Gosh it's been a while..

So yeah I really suck at getting on here.. Well honestly I've sucked at most things online lately.. I've been so busy since we've moved here to TN.. So far everything has gone okay.. Lucas has had some behavior issues, but we are working through them.. Well when it comes to my weight I've done really well until my period got all wonky & they took my IUD out and then I wasn't on anything and then had a cycle that was way too long so my GYN started me on the Birth Control Patch and the month I was on it I my weight got up to 142!! WHT, so I stopped that on on my own, there is no way in hell I'm gaining that weight back.. I've managed to get down to 138, so I've got about 5 more to go till I get back to where I was.. It's really crazy cause before I gained the weight back I had a little roll on my stomach & it didn't really didn't bother me, but since I've gained the weight it's gotten worse & I feel so fat! All my pants Have gotten a tight & I have a slight muffin top.. I don't know.. I guess I'll have to see what happens when I loose the weight..

The title says it all.. The event we have been waiting for is finally here. We've left Biloxi!! Rick leaves for Korea on Oct 5th! :(

So i got on the scale this morning & I was 134lbs!!!! wooohooo!!!!!! I'm stoked to be below goal!! I'm going to try and get some new pic's up in the next few days.. :)

1 year Post-op!!

Oh My has time flied.. I thought I would do better at updating, but I didn't do the best..  But I'm sitting here 1 year & 3 days out from my surgery down from 255lbs to 136.6 a 118.5lbs gone forever.. I'm only 1.5 away from goal.. the way I feel about that is if I never loose it I'm still happy.. I can fit into a size 6 jeans  a Medium & sometimes a small top! Having my Lap RNY is the best thing I did for my future.. I've become a much happier person and way more outgoing than I ever was..  I went in to see Dr.Dolan was the first time I had seen him since my 1mth post op since he ended up getting deployed. he was amazed by my progress. All my lab work came back great, so no worries there.

We only have less than 2 weeks left here in Biloxi & I'm so ready to leave. I'm heading to nashville while Rick is going to do a remote tour in Korea. After a year apart we are heading to Anchorage, Alaska!

9mths post-op & down 108.5lbs

Well I'm 9mths post and man has time flied.. I'm only 11.5lbs away from my goal of 135.  Everything is going great. I'm still in a medium shirt and now I'm wearing size 8 pants!! I haven't been in single digits ever!! So exciting.

I went home to visit family for a week and I actually lost, I was sure I gained without being able to excercise like I normally do.  I've still had no complications from my surgery and I'm so thankful for that.  

I have to say my body doesn't look the best, but what can I expect after being big for so long.. I stretched everything out. My girls are the worst.. I no longer have breasts, I have utters now.. So at some point I'll have to get a lift and implants, but I'm going to wait awhile for that.. My stomach isn't really bad at all.. Yes I have excess skin that is ripply, but it's not horrible.. I could live with that and just get my breasts done.. My inner thighs are that pretty either.. My tailbone is starting to hurt if I sit for too long, I'm sure it's cause I lost all my padding... lol.. 

I would much rather have all this than all that weight, so I know I made the right choice for myself and for my family.. We have all became so much more healthly and that in itself makes it worth it.

100lbs Lost as of today!!!!

Wooohooo, I've lost 100lbs. I'm just a few days short of my 8mths post-op date, but just had to post this.. I've got 20 more lbs till I'm at my goal weight of 135lbs!!

7mth Post-op @ 163lbs, down 92lbs!

Here I am 7mths post-op and man has time flyed.. Every month before I know it's time to post again.. i thought I would be really good at posting but I'm not, but I'm at least trying to keep up with my monthly's.. I've been feeling really great. I've got 28lbs till I'm at goal and I'm so looking forward to it.  i'm now wearing a size 12 pants/shorts, yes I'm actually wearing some shorts!!  And my shirts are still a Medium. My boobs are getting super saggy, they were before, but now it's really bad.. I've gone down from a D cup to a C cup, I've got to go and get some more bra's cause the ones I've got are just not working..  Well till next time.. Hope everyone else is having a wonderful journey.. :) Oh yeah I did post some new pic's too.. Hope the few that check in on me enjoy..

Scale has finally started moving again..

For the last 3 weeks I've had a stall and it has finally started to move again.. Woohoo... I'm at 170.. I'll update more in my 6mth update here in a few days..

5mths Post-op @ 175lbs down 80lbs

So I forgot to post on here for my 5mth, so I post dated this to then.. 

5mths out I'm down to 175lbs and feeling great!! I'm wearing size Medium shirts and size 16 pants/jeans.. I'm loving every minute!! I'm so glad I've had this surgery.. I'm only 40lbs from goal!!  

The only side effect I've had is my hair loss.. I got tired of it and went and got the post surgery haircut. I really like it a lot and it's super easy to take care of..  

I should be getting my 5mth pic's on here soon.. I took them on time but was a little late at getting them to my friend that makes them all pretty for me.. So as soon as I get them back I'll post them on here.. I do have some on there from Lucas's b-day party and from Mardi Gras, so if anyone wants you can check those out.. :)

My Story

Well I'm 25 years old, Mother to the cutest little boy ever,Lucas... And wife to Rick. I've battled with my weight my whole life... When I was younger I was always the fat kid.. then in high school I evened out a little bit and I looked almost normal but still bigger than everyone else in my class.. Once I graduated I desided that I wanted to get away from home so I went and talked to the Air Force recuriter... I had to lose 10 pounds to get in... So I worked my butt off and I was leaving for the military 2.5 months later... I was at my all time low.. of 128.. I should have know it wouldn't last long... I went to my tech school to be a surgery tech and this is where I met my husband though we didn't get married for another 3 years.. :) Well I got stationed at Keesler and Rick went to Germany, we lost contact for a little while, but when we hooked back up we desided that we belonged together... Right before this I started having problems with my weight... I got the Depo shot and my weight went up 30lbs in a month.. I couldn't lose it as hard as I tried.. That when the downward spiral began with my weight... Rick and I got married in Jan 03. In Oct of 03 I was put out of the Air Force because I was over my weight limit... I started working at the VA in biloxi.. At this time I weighed 180lbs. In Feb 04 we found out that I was pregnant. then in April 04 I had a miscarriage.. Then I felt horrible I thought I was never going to be able to have children and I started gaining more... We kept tring to have a child and with no luck... Over a year later in June 05 I found out I was finally preggo... I didn't gain very much during my pregnancy, only about 15lbs. But that has put me up to 249lbs.. I'm so not happy about what I see in the mirror.. I want to be able to play with my son when he starts walking which is only a few months away.. Not to mention I'm having trouble with getting out of breath very easly, just walking up an incline will do me in.. Walking up one flight of stairs, I'm completely out of breath... Well i just hope that I will be able to have the WLS and become the person that I want to be...

My Timeline for my RNY surgery...

*July 06-Started Researching WLS
*October 17,06-Decided that I wanted to have RNY.
*March 27,07- Made PCM appt.
*April 18,07- PCM appt-got General Surgery referral
*May 11,07- General Surgery appt.. I'm a great canidate!
*June 14,07- Psyhic appt.. cleared by the crazy's.. :)
*June 25,07- Nutrition appt.
*August 2,07- Pre-op class
*August 27,07- Call from nurse with pre-op date & surgery date.
*Sept 5,07- Pre-op appt's.
*Sept 6,07- SURGERY!!!! My new beginning...
