Charles Procter Jr., M.D.
When I met Dr. Charley Proctor at my consult he immediately put me at ease. He is very upfront and personable. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and stayed until I had no more questions. He did an exam to make sure I would be safe to have a bariatric surgery. When I went in for my surgery he came to see me in pre-op and was there in the operating room before I was put to sleep chatting with me and helped me feel more comfortable. I saw him each day I was in the hospital and he again made me feel comfortable by answering all of my questions. He brought me a "bari bear" on my discharge date with a personal note on it signed "Dr. Charley". He let me know before discharge that he is on call 24/7 for his patient's after surgery. He is a huge proponent of aftercare and continued follow-up for life. The staff at the office is awesome and able to answer all my questions- a few of them have had bariatric surgery also. He is a second generation bariatric surgeon and was taught how to do these surgeries by his father. I feel I made a great choice of surgeon and would recommend him to anyone.

9 days to go!

I have 10 days to go until my surgery date!  I had my pre-op today with my surgeon and at the hospital. Everything went smoothly and I am all set for my surgery. I am scheduled on 12/30/10 at 11:30am.  I am excited...anxious...excited.  I can't believe I am finally going to have the surgery I have wanted to have fo sooooo long.

Wow...just got approved for lap gastric bypass surgery last week. I am scheduled to have surgery in just 2 weeks from now. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. 2 weeks will be here very soon! Have to start a pre-op liquid diet tomorrow.
