Surgeon Testimonial

Ki Hyun Oh M.D.
I found Dr. Oh to be very informative and funny. He has a good manner with his patients. His office is always so busy - often there isn't room for everyone to sit. Trying to get a hold of anyone in the office on the phone is next to impossible and can be aggravating, but I'm told they are working on that situation. The office staff are very nice and willing to talk and answer questions. I would recommend Dr. Oh to anyone wanting to undergo bariatric surgery.

Back on Track for 2009
on January 3, 2009 6:00 pm
Well another new year is here and with it a new opportunity to get my rear in gear and get this weight off.  I had a horrible December as far as weight loss goes...made poor food choices and with the weather situation spent more time in my recliner than out and moving.  Consequently, I did not lose any weight...I gained a little...but have lost that now and am back on track to a greater weight loss in January.  Hopefully I will have lost at least a few pounds when I see my doctor on the 19th.  I did so well at my December visit - down 10.5 pounds since November - that I will be mortified if I haven't lost anything when I see him in January!  Today was our celebration of my and my mother's birthdays...my sisters, mom, and I went to The Lobster Shop for lunch.  I didn't do too badly, but did have some lobster bisque (full of calories) and a small lobster tail.  NO MORE NOW!!  Back on the weight loss wagon heading for onderland, which I hope to achieve by my one year bandiversary in May, if not sooner.

GREAT restriction - at last!
on November 9, 2008 2:19 am
I'm a little late writing this.  I had my sixth fill on Monday the 3rd - just a tiny one.  I forgot to ask how much he put in to record it.  I thought I had pretty good restriction before, but now I have great restriction and think I may have found my sweet spot.  I'm not too tight, which I was worried about, but am at a point where I can only eat a small amount and can no longer chug my water.  I was on liquids for two days following the fill, and I'm happy to report that as of Saturday morning I was down 5 pounds already!  Yippeee!!!  I have been bouncing up and down between 240-245 for months and getting pretty frustrated.  Hopefully this weight loss will continue.  I'd like to lose 10 pounds before my next appointment in December (if I do I get a sugar free lollipop from the doc ).  I find that I'm having a hard time getting all my water in now since I can't "drink" it.  I have to sip and wait, sip and wait.  Guess I'll have to work harder at it.  I'm hoping to go down another clothes size soon.  I bought about five new winter tops and have been trying to wear them as much as possible to get some use out of them before they are too small.  I need to invest in a few pairs of new scrubs too - mine are getting quite baggy now and my coworkers are teasing me!  I'm not complaining though...it's a wonderful feeling having clothes that are too big rather than too small!

Happy times!  I finally broke that darn plateau that had me going nuts for about two months!  Let's see if the weight continues to drop!
