Got a few schedule dates for some pre-op work.
10/02/08 CXR & Ultrasound
10/03/08 EKG & lab work...

guess the ball is rolling now... waiting to hear from the Clinic for date for EGD and internal medicine. 

Scored another victory today.  I pulled the bike out of the basement, dusted off the cob webs, filled the tires up and went for a bike ride.  I have not been on the bike in over a year...it was hard and tough at first, got a little easier. I did stopp at a local coffee shop had a small coffee and rode back home...total of 6 miles....

I had a personal victory this morning!!!  I was able to increase my walking distance to 2 MILES.  I was so happy.  I hope to be able to beat my best distance of 3.5 miles.  I did this when I still lived in Texas. 

My next goal is to stop smoking.  I have been working on this for over a week now with good results.  I have two packs left, and when they are gone they ARE GONE...

The visit to the PCP is over.  I was happy with the end results, he agreed with my decision to procede with the lap band.  I did get a letter from him that stated that... I was happy.

I did manage to drop 3 pounds in week...

I am getting ready to see my PCP this morning... I figured it would be a good idea to get him on board from the beginning.  I moved up to the Cleveland area a few years back and did not have a PCP, I have only seen this doctor one time in the whole time I have been up here.  That is why I am thinking it would good to get his help...

Today is the first day of FALL and I decided to start a new beginning today.  I went for a walk after work, came home from the walk and grabbed the trash can and threw away all the " GOOD STUFF" from the snack cabinet... I will miss my old friends  " the snacks that is " 

Well, the patient workshop is over   WOW what a lot of information that was!!! I think for every question that I got answered  2 more would come up.  I did find it very informative and helpful.  I went into the workshop thinking that I wanted to go with the RNY but after listening to the nurse and the surgeon I am back on track with Lap Band. 

September 17, 2008 is the Weight Loss Surgery Patient Workshop at the Cleveland Clinic.  I am excited about it because I know this brings me closer to my goal.
