Merry Christmas to everyone.  I hope that Santa is good to all of you and that you get all that you wish for.   

I was truly blessed this Christmas.  I had friends over, went to church and got really nice Christmas gifts.  I am still looking forward to next week ( 12/30/08) I get to go home to ARKANSAS to be with my family and friends.

Well, the months of waiting and anticipation came and went Tuesday.  I met with the surgeon that I had picked to do my lab band.  The meeting was interesting, very knowledgeable physician.  I became a little dis hearted when he suggested that I go with RNY vs the lab band.  I really was not prepared to discuss the other procedure.  I think the entire meeting lasted maybe 10 - 12 minutes.  I have a week to decided on what procedure I am going with. 

I was so bad this past Saturday night ( 12/21/08 ) Had a couple of friends that came up to visit that live in the Akron area.  We all went out to dinner.  I allow myself one cheat night a week.  The cheat night could either be on a Friday or Saturday night depending on which night I am off from work.  The restaurant that we went was a really cozy and nice family operated cafe type place ( wonderful food )  I had the Chicken Paprikash, dumplings, sour kraut, (2) pierogies, a small salad, and a piece of Key-Lime pie ( oh my gosh was that good )  .  I felt like a stuffed hog after that.  I knew better than to go crazy like that but I did.  I think that we all seemed to go overboard that night.  I can't blame anyone but myself.  I think I will skip cheat night this week and wait until New Years Day when I get to go home to Arkansas for a family visit. 

Ok, enough about food.   I finally get to see and meet the surgeon today ( 12/23/08 ) first time I will meet him  since the start of my weight loss journey in  August.  I will have to post a comment on the outcome later today.    Hope everyone has a great holiday!!! ...remember that Santa is still watching you  ........

This waiting is driving me nuts.  I get to meet the surgeon on the 23rd of this month. 

The high point to all this is that I weighed in on Friday ( 12/12/08) and I have lost a total of 37 pounds
