Received a call from the clinic today to schedule some pre-op appointments.  The surgeon's office contacted me to let me know that I need to come down to the clinic on February 10 to talk to the surgeon again, meet with anesthesia and take some kind of test.  They told me that I would be there from about 945am to 330pm.  Oh, yes, they did remind me about the two week pre-op liquid diet....

All the paperwork has been submitted, forms filled out.  I am now just waiting to hear from the benefits office and the doctor's office to make plans for the 26th of February. 

 I got the call today to let me know that surgery is set and scheduled for February 26, 2009.  I am very happy and excited.    I am also excited about something else.  I went and got on the scale at the doctor's office yesterday, you know just curious to see how the weight loss is going, I was shocked and nearly fell off the scale.. my total weight loss before surgery and since the start of this whole adventure is now at 44 pounds.....

The phone rang at 0805 this morning, it was the Cleveland Clinic.  I got some news I was waiting for....... I WAS APPROVED FOR SURGERY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I was very happy.  I have to pay my co-pay and then surgery date will be set.  I do know that it will be in February. I did tell my family about having surgery.  They are OK with it now.  Thank goodness for the internet, I was able to show them a video on You Tube of a lap band procedure.  I guess the next posting will be when I get the date set for surgery...
