Well, I have really, really, good news!
I had a doctor's appointment today with my PCP. The wonderful news is, he is 100% completely on board and in agreement with me having LAP RNY SURGERY! YES!! I am so glad he feels that I am a great candidate for WLS! Knowing that he is on board with me having the WLS is a wonderful feeling! I don't think I could go through with this surgery, knowing that my PCP was against it.
He said my weight was 230 lbs. today. :( So that means that I haven't lost any weight. Oh, well !! I really don't want to try and lose a lot of weight, in fear that my insurance company (Aetna) wont pay for my surgery.
So, my PCP reffered me to Dr. James Davidson M.D. F.A.C.S @ the Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas.
He told me that he had worked with Dr. Davidson for over 20 years. That he is one of the best Bariatric Surgeon's in the Dallas Metroplex!
Wow!! I feel great knowing that, my PCP is very comfortable with this surgeon, Dr. Davidson!
So my PCP, tells me that he will have the "front desk girls" call the BSC of Dallas and set me up a "Seminar & Consultation"
Wow, I was really impressed with my PCP, doing that for me!
My PCP, then tells me that he will have the "front desk girls" to get a full copy of my "medical" records, my Aetna insurance coverage and my last set of blood labs.
He tells me that he is going to have the office manager start working on my "REFFERAL" that is needed for me to see the "surgeon" since my Aetna requires it.
He tells me good luck, shakes my hand and says, I'll see you after your surgery!!!
OMMGGG.....!!!!! I never thought I would hear those words spoken....!!!!
So, I go up front and pay my copay for my visit with my PCP.
The office girl, tells me that my "seminar & consultation" is going to be: July, 6th 2007 at 12:00 noon @ the Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas.
She told me that, the surgery center told her, that if I come to BSC @ Dallas with "ALL" my "records" and "referrals", "in hand" that I would be 3 steps ahead of the game!!!
This is great news!!!!
I want to make sure all my "ducks" are in a row. I don't want any room for error or any type of hold up on me getting this WLS!! I have wanted this for so long.!!!
This is a dream come true for me!!
The even better news is, since I will be going to the seminar & consult with all my info in hand, then their isn't any delay waiting for fax's or anything! Things wont take near as long if I have them at their fingertips!
Well, so far this is all I have to report.
I will post again, after my seminar & consult, which is next Friday, July, 6th 2007!!
I can't wait to be on the loosing side of life!!
