I am 2 months out today. My weight is 211.4. I lost 10.2 lbs this month. 30 lbs since surgery and 46.6 since my initail consultation in November. The weight loss still seems slow, but at the same time, I am happy with everything so far. I only wish I would have done this a long time ago. I added some new photos if anyone wants to see.

Well y'all, today I am one month out and feeling great. I have lost 20 lbs since surgery and 37 lbs my first consultation in November '09. I was hoping for a bigger loss in the first month, but I am also realistic. I started off light as far as bariatric surgery goes and I am not going to lose as fast as someone who started at 300lbs or more. The numbers are going in the right direction and that makes me happy. Still on pureed foods for now. Have been walking everyday and was just released for exercise. Now I just have to do it...lol.

Home from the hospital

Just home from the hospital tonight and I feel great!! Now the REAL work begins. No one bringing me this and that at the right time.....I gotta do it all on my own. I know it will take a while to get it all together and be on my way to a better life.

I am so happy to report that I received my approval from Aetna today...I am so excited!!!! Surgery is scheduled for January 26, 2010

Submitted to insurance....

All of my paperwork was submitted to the insurance company on Monday Dec 7. I found out on Wednesday that they have requested additional information, and as of today, they have still not been updated by the surgeons office. I called the office last week and left a message to please contact me if they need me to do anything or gather any more info from my PCP, and I have not received a call back.....very frustrating.
