Surgeon Testimonial

Terry Simpson, M.D. F.A.C.S.
I thought Dr.Simpson was very knowledgeable and experienced with weight loss procedures and truly wants to help people. He also has a wonderful sense of humor and uses it effectively in his conversations with patients and in his seminars.

I am 45 years old -- I have a 24 yr old son, a 22 yr old daughter and a 3 yr old granddaughter (my son's) and 4 Australian Shepherds whom I breed, show and herd ! I also judge dog shows which allows me to travel all over the US & Europe! I have returned to school to finish my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Administration and hope to go work for the county Prosecutor's office someday! I am a devoted fan of the AZ Diamondbacks (season ticket holder), Boston Red Sox & Pittsburgh Steelers (since HS)!

I am devastated by the news of Gary's passing...

this is beyond belief - he was only 43

I had hoped to meet him someday as if it weren't for him, I would not have been able to have my surgery!

He was a funny man and loved baseball - a passion we shared and often teased each other about, especially since the dbacks beat his beloved Yankees in 2001 ...

My heart goes out to his wife and young children !

My Story

7/26/08 - short, long overdue update!

its been a very frustrating year for me but I am determined to lose this last 33# !  All total I've lost just under 60# - I've regained some of it but I'm at a weight I havent been at in over 10 yrs and that's still pouunds that will never return!          My BMI is down 12 pts as well!

**********************************************************************

I had WLS surgery in January 2006!
My weight loss has been slower than I had hoped and planned but I will get there!
I was born with congenital hypothyroidism (as in NO thyroid gland at ALL) and after my hysterectomy in 1996, the weight started piling on and despite many diets, I could not lose more than 5# so I looked into surgery and was happy to find DR Simpson and after being denied twice by Cigna, I hired attorney Gary Viscio in NY and 2 weeks after receiving his letter, Cigna reversed their decision and my surgery was scheduled for 1/4/06 - Dr Simpson's 1st surgery of the new year! lol..             Doc & I were game to do the surgery Xmas Day but for some reason, the assisting Drs & the hospital didn't like that idea ! LOL
