Surgeon Testimonial

Virginia McGrath-Weaver M.D.
Dr. Weaver is a fantastic doctor! She's an incredibly skilled surgeon and a genuinely nice person, too. My first impression was that she was warm and caring, and it's the truth. She doesn't rush you and is more than willing to answer even the silliest of questions. I have recommended her to several people already!

Only 1 pound away from the Century Club
on July 24, 2008 1:36 pm
I'm definitely going to be doing the 5 day pouch test next week.  I'm totally stalled and I feel like I can eat more than I should.  I don't get full nearly as easily as I think I should and I'm eating too many carbs.  I need to get back to protein shakes and bars like in the beginning.  So, wish me luck!

95 Pounds Gone!
on May 6, 2008 5:53 am
I'm getting sooo close to the Century club!  I'm really hoping that I can reach 100 pounds lost by the end of May.  I'll be posting some updated pics here soon.  I'm still totally shocked when I see myself in a picture.  It's amazing!

93 Pounds gone
on April 24, 2008 1:07 pm
Last weekend, I made a commitment to getting rid of all the carbs I've found myself eating lately.  They all seem to be slider foods anyway...pretzels, baked lays, animal crackers, etc.  They never made me full anyways, so I should've never started eating them again.  Since then, I've lost 2 pounds this week.  Keep in mind, I only lost 3 pounds in the previous 6 weeks.  The proof is in the pudding!

Stalls suck
on April 10, 2008 1:10 pm
So, I've been in a stall for about 6 weeks.  It's awful.  I've been yo-yoing between the same 4 pounds for the entire time.  Finally, when I weighed myself Tuesday morning, I'd lost 3 pounds.  Hallelujah!  I'm completely aware that the last 30 or so pounds will be the slowest and toughest to lose...but it's really hard to not see the scale move for weeks!

I saw a bunch of my family at a reunion over the weekend.  They were shocked at how different I look!  It's really strange too cause most people tell me not to lose more.  I promise...there's plenty left to lose!

I'll post some updated pics soon.  I'm no longer running from every camera I see!

My Story

I'm 28 years old and have been looking into having WLS for about a year and a half.  I've been overweight pretty much all of my life.  My family is very supportive and I'm ready to become a brand new person!
