Surgeon Testimonial

Francis W. Teng, M.D.
Dr. Teng is extremely informative and thorough!!rnI always say it's \"Teng's way or NO WAY!!!\". He starts off by telling every patient that they must be committed to his program or they can find a different surgeon.I have heard a few patients say that they feel like he's talking down to them. He's very adamant on how things will be done. He's one awesome surgeon!!rnGoing for my last appointment next Weds. and he warned me that he will be giving me a test(routine). He'll be asking about RNY and if he feels I don't have a total understanding he won't hesitate to push back surgery date! Last chance to weigh in(I've lost quite a bit this last month)any patient who hasn't lost at least 5% weight WILL GET their surgery delayed until they have! He's tough but he tells everyone that you're committed to HIS program the first 2 years post op.rnHis brother Dr.V.Teng is anesthesiologist on all of his cases.rnTheir sister,Tina, is an RN who runs their hectic office!rnHis asst. surgeon Dr. B. Hanna is a friend of mine who has been trying to get me in the OR for 3 years! When Tina called me and said I was approved;I called Bernie and said \"You and I have a date on Dec 6th\" He was excited as I was.rnDr Teng's program is intense and requires commitment but he tells patients that on their very first visit. He does 2 hour seminar/month for people looking into surgery. Every patient must attend his seminar first. He and Dr. Hanna hold the monthly support meetings. He is VERY involved with every aspect. Like I said earlier...\"It's Teng's way or no way!!!\"

Yes...I am BACK in CONTROL!!!!! : ) : )
on October 10, 2010 12:22 pm
I am soooo focused and haven't given in to the EVIL carb calling me in weeks. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!  And that's not all. I bought a very inexpensive pedometer and my daily goal is a minimum of 10,000 steps. Suprised myself couple of days...busy work days...actually recorded 22,000+ steps for day. My unit is on 2nd floor...I NEVER use the elevator...stairs...every calorie burned counts. But wait...there's more....I actually have been taking 2 walks every day for past week and half. I have a VERY GOOD reason. We adopted the most BEAUTIFUL 2 yo old dog from the Min Pin Rescue. A friend fostered her for 3 weeks after owner surrender....I met her and KNEW I had to have her. She is permenantly attached to me every second of the day. She's starting to warm up to Ron. And Spawn of Satan...has been "tolerating" another dog. Doesn't go out of her way to play but she needs to get a reality check...NOT an only child/doggie any more. Know you have been the princess for 5 years...BUT you still are BUT theres another princess...yes there is PLENTY of love for you both.

Brooklyn is having some "pottying" issues...so thats the reason for the 2x day loooong walks. I'm trying to enlist Peaches help cause she has ALWAYS been the most AWESOME pottyer...LOL. Taking my girl to dog park too...more exercise for mom...that was how I actually convinced Ron into getting Brooklyn. Told him I needed to exercise so I take her to the doggie park often.

So...don't care what my motivation is...at least there IS motivation!!!!!!! Thank You Peaches and Brooklyn for keeping human mommy..."honest". I HEART my girlz...MUAH....
