Well I'm feeling better everyday. I was a little concerned a couple days ago when I had a bad episode of diarrhea and pain that came and went in my chest. I didn't think it was serious (gas?) but did call the surgeons office and they said as long as I'm not short of breath or having other issues it should be ok but to keep the follow up appt, so I will see them tomorrow. I went on two short walks down the street yesterday to get this gas moving out! I think the gas pain is worse than the actual surgery! Anyway I am down a total of 27 pounds from my original weight from before I started my pre op diet! WOOOHOOO!

OMG it's so good to be home. I always knew patients can't really rest in the hospital but GEEZ! I would just fall asleep and the tech would come in to do vitals or the lab would want blood or the alarm would go off on one of the many machines you are connected to. I got home yesterday and slept pretty good last night. Wednesday morning was the surgery and I was out of it that day and night. I needed LOTS of nausea medicine. The only pain I really had was from the gas they pump you up with and I am still fighting that as of today. Thursday was better I started clear liquids and tolerated them well, friday I was cut loose from the hospital. I did ok till this morning when I took a dose of the liquid lortab and man did that kick my butt. I got really nauseated, threw up and passed out for a couple hours, once I woke up I was ok and have been all day. Don't think I will take that again. Start full liquids monday then pureed wednesday so we will see how it goes! So far so good!! 

Well it's almost here, the time I've been working towards for almost a year. When I look back it seems to have gone so fast but seemed so slow as it was going on. I am so excited to be given the opportunity for a new life yet I still can't help but think about the complications. I'm not so much concerned about the surgery itself but complications afterwards. I'm not going to dwell on it but will just picture myself healing and doing great! We leave for Flag in a couple hours and check into the hospital at 5:30 tomorrow am. I say goodbye to my old feeling of "foods my friend" thought and say hello to my new healthy life!!! Thank you all for your kind words and support!!! I will talk to you soon!!!!

I am so excited we leave for Flag tomorrow, will stay the night and check in wednesday morning at 5:30!! I'm thinking I will be home friday but we'll see. Getting last minute stuff in order, house cleaned up.
