handwriting was on the wall-I now can read!

Well, I had known I was overweight but I had NO idea I was the size I am. The handwriting is on the wall and always has been, but, I was blind. Today my eyes have been opened and many tears have fallen. My WLS Dr. requires me to track my weight and measurements. So I recorded everything today as my 14 day pre-op. I will do so again on the day of surgery and then every month after. I knew what my weight was but my measurements were another story. I guess I have been walking around knowing I was obese but thinking I had a size 24 waist, 36 bust and 36 bottom. WRONG!! 
8/05/07-

 bust 44.5
 thigh 32
 arm 16.5
 wrist 8.5
 ankle 10
 calf 20.5
 neck 15.5
 knee 20.5
 hips 51

In the morning I start my low carb high protein full liquid diet. I have not been doing what I should. But....wake up call! Up until today I only looked at my surgery as a way to improve my health. Sure I wanted to look better and be able to buy regular clothes but my mind was 99% on health only. Well, now I am 75% health and 25% vanity. I do want to look in the mirror and like what I see! I thank God for allowing me to have WLS and giving me another chance. God Bless
