I received a call form SIU COMP Clinic about having bypass done. I spoke with Ginny who said they would send me out a packet and letter telling me when my first appointment is in February. The first appointment I am guessing will take hours since it involves a lecture, doctors exam, counseling, and dietitian. IDPA (medical card) will pay for everything but the counseling and dietitian but based on what all this cost, I can cover the other stuff since it is minimal in comparison. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Ginny told me the process would take 9-12 months but that is half the time the doctor in St. Louis was telling me I would be on the waiting list doing nothing but waiting. 

I talked to hubby last night about the feelings and people (family and one friend) that I needed to think about this more and am I sure this is the answer. He just flatly told me what they think will never matter and that he is there 100% for me come hell or high water. I love him so much because he doesn't care what I look like as long as I am happy and healthy and he knows this will cause both. I couldn't ask for me. 

My doctor put me on prozac on the 24th. Somedays, I'm not sure if it is working or not. I haven't even gotten close to surgery and I feel like I am hitting such highs and lows that even the pill can't regulate it. I can only imagine what I would be like without it.
