Ok, I met Dr Long a week before my surgery. He endured my list of presurg questions. I had been warned about dry humor but not too bad. Main thing was he has done a lot of these surgeries and he do a good job on me! Only 1 week post op and would recommend him to other patients.

    Choking down vitamins. Abd still sore with movement. Have not vomited :-)

I lost 1.8 pounds this week. I guess thats pretty good. I am still eating around 800 calories. Some days is less. I am trying to start watching some of my carb intake though that is hard. I have heard 60gm, 50gm and even as low as 20gm. I don't know if  I can do that. I will really watch to see about "good" carbs which is what I pretty much eat now. I have tried some new pasta called dreamfields. It was really good. I couldn't tell the difference in flavor. I did have to add some salt.  I am exercising 4 days a week and when I can 5 days. I feel good working out but still have to force myself to go some days.

Last week I was having that stomach pain. I called my surgeons office and the nurse felt like it was because I quit taking my antacid. So I have started taking it again. I haven't had any pain since. I will try to take it for the month I had the last refill and see how it works.

Week 15 - Below 200 lbs !!!!!

I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale and had lost 6.2 pounds this past week. I am not sure what I did differently. I don't think anything. I will plan not to lose as much next week. That is the sad thing. I am worried...was dehydrated but haven't felt very dry. Still going to the bathroom.

Having some abd pain today. I have taken gas x and Maalox with no improvement. Its been going on for almost 2 hours. I will update if anything big comes out of it.

Week 14 post rny Labs good!!!

Here it is 14 weeks out. I lost 2.6 pounds this past week. The weight loss is slowing more. However, I am starting to be happy to see a loss. I haven't had a total stall week yet. I think its because of the exercise maybe. Thanks for everyones support and everyone blogging. I had my MD appt last week. All my labs were great!!!!!

Hello,

I lost 2 pounds this past week. As I always say, I know that should be good but I am still disappointed its slow!!!! I will admit I did eat a few more carbs this week but my calories still stayed at 800 or less. I had some pasta and potato chips. My work had a 3 day issue and we celebrate issues with food!!! I still have avoided sugar. I have bought some sugar free snacks that I eat in moderation. I find the sugar free snack or fruit satisfies any sweet tooth I have. I also started eating yogurt again this morning when I saw the scale was not moving down fast enough!!! That darn scale. I thought maybe the protein and low cal yogurt would be better than the egg mcmuffin no muffin I have been treating myself too  !!

I am so afraid of failing. I have to keep up my determination and drive. That I will be healthy. I will be smaller. I can do it. I am not gonna graze on empty calories. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.
