Mark Pleatman MD
I think Dr Pleatman was great. He kinda has a dry since of humor but not that bad. He does seemed to be rushed at times , perhaps because he is getting really alot of referral!!! He is always quick to respond to e mails or phone calls. I would recommend him and if I had to do it over again HE IS THE MAN!!

Hi i currently have orientation scheduled for 9/28/06 followed by Surgeons appointment directly afterwords.
 
9/29/06  Everything went fine... went through orientation and surgeon consult. He indicates i am a canidate for lap RNY. Next is meeting with nut. on oct 4 2006. Start sending in info to Insurance company. Hoping things go well here....still later 
10/14/06  UPDATE:  Seen NUT. and P/t they gave me the go ahead!!! Sorry info NOT sent to insurance company. They wont send until all assements are complete. Hopefully the last week of October

Ok change of plans............ will be self pay with DR PLEATMAN!! He will be doing instead the VSG. Will need to lose 40 lbs before he will operate. IT's GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for taking this long to update but here goes. Family and I flew into Detriot on Jan 31st Where we met Dr Pleatman for surgery approval. Everythihg was approved. I lost  the needed 40 lbs EXACTLY!!!! Feb 2nd had surgery and everything went fine. I did awake with some weird left side pain. Dr. said he had to use a lil leverage to get to the area perhaps it was a pulled muscle. Was in hospital 1 extra day because of that pain but probably should have been released the 4th. Spent only a few days in hotel before we had a followup. Probably should have stayed longer but that a little later. Dr released me to go to Florida where wife and I decided to recover from this. Flight home was ruff to say the least. Tight seats , left rib hurt and full flight. I didnt take much water intake. DUMB ME!!

Upon arrriving I could not keep water intake up at all, fell ill and was admittted in hospital. My Bowels were blocked. Reason unknown. Could have been pain meds?Anethisisa?? or  they were tired from working overtime the past 50 years!! lol Anyway after several days in possible and one foot literally in OR my bowels cut loose. Surgery not need (thank you all for  your prayers and support)  I will try and update some more as I go. Good news is I have lost 23 lbs since 2/2 3/10/2007 Well I have finally busted the plateau I had been on for the past 2.5 weeks. I have upped my excersise from 1.5 mile a day to 4 miles and that seems to have done the trick. I am feeling alot better since the bowel obstruction. I am eating regular food  but in much smaller quanities. I can eat about 4 oz of fish, or chicken at one setting. For some reason I still enjoy the soups , wasnt fond of them prior but love them now. Amazing what your taste buds will do for you!! Until next time , may god bless you 4/2/07 Well it has been about 1 month since last posting. Not much has changes as far as weight goes. I have dropped 42lbs since surgery which i am thankful for. Inches are another thing. Inches  are dropping like rain. My first WOW  was i can shop at wal mart. I fit into 3 xl and almost a 2 xl. I havent been able to shop at wally world for about 6 years!! I went from a 5x to 3 x. My neck, chest and waist are all gettin smaller. I also started lifting this last 2 weeks. Hurts like hell  BUT I  LIKE IT!! lol Til next time god bless and take care BIGGS
