Hello all! My name is Janeene...I just started my journey to a healthier me.  I live in the Baltimore, Maryland area.  This board is so nice it really answers alot of my questions from people who have been or are in the same boat that I am in.  I am pursuing the Lap Band surgery.  It has been exciting lurking around this board learning about WLS.

I am now home and banded!!!

I had my surgery done on Wednesday 3/5/08 with Dr Singh at St Agnes.  I am finally on the losing side.  I am a little sore and the gas has been pretty intense at times other than that I am feeling great!!

Well tomorrow is my big day at 11:00.   I am excited I cannot believe it is finally here.  See yall on the losing side.

Only 3 days until my surgery I am excited and nervous all at the same time.  I can't believe that this day is to close to becoming a reality for me.  I can't wait to be on the losing side!

I am approved and all of my preop is completed!

My date for a new beginning is March 5, 2008.  I can hardly wait I am so anxious.  I am on my 2 week liquid diet today was day 2 so far so good but I am going to have to pray to keep this up.  I just keep thinking about the prize that will be at the end of this process!!!

My Story

Hello all, I am a 37 year old wife and mother of 4 sons handsome sons!  I am currently prusuing Lap Band surgery with Dr. Singh at St Agnes.  I have not been overweight my entire life I began my struggle with my weight after having my 4 children I am now 5'5 and at my heighest weight of 265lbs.  I also have hypertension and am borderline diabetic.  I am so looking forward to being on the losers bench.
