So, next thing done! Meeting went well, and we scheduled our 2 required classes. One of mine is tommorow 8AM, so now to find child care... lol. It will work out tho... I weighed in at 334.7 and Bennie at 338... so, I'm less than him again!!! YAY!!! I'm sure it will continue to change, but I've lost 5 1/2 lbs since our 2/17 appt and 10 since my drs appt 2/3... I think just not stressing about being fat forever because I know I'm getting my tool soon in and of itself helps me eat less and be more mindful of what and when I am eating... I am by no means perfect, but I will continue to strive to make changes now so that there's no reality shock post-op and I am the most successful I can be!!! Nutrition class 3/2, pych eval 3/10, then vitamin class 3/20 and then we should be able to submit and (pending a quick response) still be able to be rockin' my sleeve by the end of March!!! **fingers crossed**

First Appt ~ 2/17/2012

First appt with Dr Averbach! Everything is on track. We have a few things to turn in before submitting for approval, but it looks like I will have my VSG the end of March and Bennie's will be the end of April!!! My weight was 340.2, Bennie's was 337.6 and I wanted to cry because it is sickening that my husband who is several inches taller than me now weighs less than me :-(

My Story

I've always been "big boned" lol... But for the most part was confident and "comfortable where I was, although I've wanted to lose weight for a long time and tried numerous weighs with little to no results... then frustration takes over and, as many do, I give up and am that much worse off! Now after 4 kids in a 7 yr span, I'm well past my comfortable point and don't see an end in site anyway other than surgery... My husband and I attended a seminar last yr but had been unable to find a surgeon in the area that was in network with our insurance... I just found Dr. Averbach yesterday and we have an appt scheduled for 2/17/2012... We thankfully don't have the 6 month insurance requirement that so many ppl do so we're hoping to get scheduled soon and be on our way to skinny by summer!!! And we can't wait! I'm really excited about taking this journey with my husband and have high hopes that this will be an amazing transformation for our family!!! Wish us luck and we'll keep u posted <3 ~ weight @ the start of my journey & my highest weight ~ 2/3/2012 = 344lbs :-( ~ GLAD I WILL NEVER... EVER... SEE THAT NUMBER AGAIN!!!
