PLATEAU
posted on 4/8/08 5:53 am
Hey everyone

Well, I am now a week shy of two-months and I have hit my first plateau — this is the first week I have not lost any weight. I am down to 337 pounds (a loss of 51 pounds) and the numbers on the scale did not move this week. Don't get me wrong I am delighted and praising God for the 51 pound loss, but I must admit it is disheartening to step on the scale and see no change for the first time.

If anyone has any information on how to kick start this loss back into gear, PLEASE let me know.

Thanks hope all is well with the OH family.

  • Well Wesly, the only thing I can say is "this too shall pass". If you look at my blog, you'll see me whining about the scale not moving. My stalls hit early on after surgery and I find that I"m a slow loser (i'm 10 weeks post op). BUT the best thing is I lost so many inches even if the scale isn't moving; that's amazing to me.

I have gotten advice from others and they've said to up my protein, up my water and take in a few more calories....this should trick the body to moving again...also, change up (increase) the exercise a little...this is the advice I've gotten and I've incorporated into my life. Last week it worked...we'll see about this week. Good LUck to ya.

  • Well im new to all of this but I try not to even look at the scale. I dont even think about it. Once again im new so maybe things will change. Things will pick up just keep being active and do what you have to do. By the way thanks for the compliment. (wink)
