The Little Engine that Could
on May 13, 2008 1:58 pm

Well it's been almost 11 months and I am now down 119lbs!
I am wearing a 1X (14-16) top and an 18 pants.
It's Still really inbelievable. I haven't posted in a while because I
met a new guy and I've been so wrapped up in this new relationship .

I am really loving and living life right now!
I love the weight loss but I really just love being able to live my life the way I want.  I love being able to eat, excercise, walk and date like a 'normal'  person. It really is a new concept for me but one I love!

Next month will be my 1 year surgiversary.....
At that time I hope to be down at least 130lbs and a siz 14 pants.
I also hope to be fully involved and absolutly in love with my new guy .

We'll see!

More to come......

Stall. what stall!
on April 2, 2008 8:30 am
Well I am definitly over this stall, thank God!

I am down another 3 lbs. for a total of 113lbs down.
I am Sooo happy!

Actually, I don't really think it was a stall but an adjustment.
Even though I haven't lost any lbs. I was still losing inches.
I went down 2 pant sizes even though only down 3 lbs.

The key is to just keep excercising and eat right.
I will continue to press on.
I have 87 more lbs. to go!

Wish me luck!

It's My Birthday!!!
on March 14, 2008 8:14 pm
It's amazing!!!
Today is my 32nd birthday and I feel better than I did at 22

I just think back to 1 year ago today.
I was anxiously going to all of my appointments to make this surgery a reality. Today, 1year later....I am 110lbs. lighter, healthier, happier and truly blessed that I had this surgery and got through it safely and so far sucessfully.

It is still difficult some days making the right choices about food and exercise but it is definitly better than it was 1 year ago.

I can't advocate that this sugery is for everyone.  However, if you research this and pray on it and decide it's for you, I can say that it is the best thing you can do for yourself if you've struggled with weight for a long period of time.

I thank God everyday!
I am truly blessed!

I can't wait to see where I am by this time next year!

Whew! Finally!!
on March 11, 2008 6:43 am

Well I am finally over this stall!
I hadn't lost any weight in the last 6 weeks. It was so frustrating. I know that I can eat more than I could the 1st 3 months out. That's not the problem... I also found out I don't dump and I've been a little careless with my carb and sugar intake. Even though I've been losing inches continuously, I think what I've been eating has really hindered the weight loss. So I began being more strict with my eating and I started going to the gym 5 days instead of 3 and made my workouts a little more intense and ole, I am down 5 more pounds!

Now it's been 38 weeks and almost 9 months since my surgery and I am down 110lbs.
I can't believe it.
According to my new male friend, I've lost a whole skinny bitch!

I just hope I am pass this stall for at least another 3 months. I want to lose 40 lbs. more by the summer. If I do I know I will make my goal by Christmas!

Slow & Steady
on February 12, 2008 2:46 pm

The scale still hasn't moved but I did take my measurements this morning.
The numbers are all going down. My hips and waist are now 2 inches less than they were 2 weeks ago. So I now feel a lot better about that.
Now I know that it is just a stall and not a complete shut down and failure.
I thought I was done with the honeymoon phase at 8 months out!!!!
But I carry on and keep tryin'.
