My 1 year check up....

All my labs were great ...no problems.  I am at my goal. and I have lost 91% of my excess weight.   He said it was great.  The Nut says I needed to add fish oil to my diet... and  I have come off my nexum now....  I felt great about my visit and myself.   Then the bad news.  I am not a canidate for skin removal right now,  because I have to take steriods still.... even though it's a small dosage.  They are afraid I wouldn't heal well enough.  So now my goal is to work with my lung dr and come off the steriods long enough to have plastics and heal.  and maybe stay off them forever.  My lungs still give me problems now and then, so I'm not sure if it would be wise to come off right now (especially during allergy season).  That was so disappointing.  I have so much skin hanging off me.  but with clothes I look ok.    I would probably be 2 or 3 sizes smaller with skin removal.   But you know what,  I'm just glad I can move around, and live my life to the fullest.  Loose skin or tight skin  won't stop me......I would not trade my experience for nothing in the world.  I might look like a sharpe' puppy, but I feel like a beauty queen.    And my wonderful hubby don't mind all the loose skin either.  I'm not gonna let it get me down.   I have my health and that's what is important.

from taking ostio drugs to NONE
from gerd meds to NONE
from sitting in front of my computer all day to riding a bicycle to climbing a lighthouse of 178 steps beating my daughter up and back down.
from hating to try on clothes to loving it

This is the best thing I have ever done for my self and I would do it again in a heart beat.  only sooner.  This is not the end for me  I will get off these steriods and get my plastics done.   it might take some time...but until then I will not let it get me down.

I can do anything I set my mind to...And I know it.    I have accomplished so much in this past year.  I will continue to do so..

I dug a gold fish pond with a shovel, and I will dig my river bed and water fall this year,  I have other goals set around my house and I will get her done....oh yeah.......I look forward to the next year and what I can accomplish......So here is to 1 year  and to my wonderful Doctor,  My sis and my friends and family.  I could not have done it without them...and oh Yeah the main one is God,  if He had not been with me the whole time, I could do nothing...Praise the Lord.......He will guide me through this next year and more.........Later folks
