Adam Naaman, M.D. First impression was excellent. He was very thorough in the WLS Seminar I attended and gave excellent answers to lots of questions. He didn't rush through anyone, and I felt that was very important. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
Monday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!
Hi Laurie. I just
wanted to say
congratulations on
your impending
surgery. I'm sure
that if you put your
mind to it, you will
achieve it.
Hopefully I will be
on the other side by
October 3rd. Again,
I will you Good luck
and a safe journey
towards a smaller
and more healthier
you.

I'm on my way to being the person I have always wanted to be. Not just thin, but self-confident, and not letting anything stand in my way of meeting my goals!
Several months ago, I made a new blog site - www.gastricgirl.com - well, I FINALLY started posting to it yesterday... It's just going to be an online diary for me.. venting my frustrations, celebrating my successes, etc.
Haven't checked in since my 2.5 post op time... I'm now at 225 pounds, which is 85 pounds down from my highest weight of 310! I'm more than halfway to my goal of 145. I'm not sure what my goal SHOULD be, as I've never been thin, but 145 sounds like a nice number to get to. I'm feeling great, going to the gym several times a week, and I have tons of energy.. Life is great! My only regret with this surgery is not doing it sooner!
Since my surgery, I've lost 60 pounds! I'm so excited with that number! :) I still have about 120 to go, but if you look at it that way, I'm 1/3 of the way there only 2 1/2 months out! :)
I am looking forward to 2008 being a year of health, fitness, and happiness! :)
Well, I've finally made it over the hump and am now Post Op! Since my surgery on 10/15, I've lost about 30 pounds. I need to get over the scale obsession and stop weighing every day, but at this point I can't help it!
My ONLY complaint so far is that I have cotton mouth so bad. I'm hoping it's not thrush. I'm trying to drink as much as I can, so we shall see!
I was in the hospital for two nights, and my first day was the only day that I had pain medication. I never filled my prescription for my pain meds at home.
Overall, a very pleasant experience! :) Now I'm just ready for the pounds to melt off, and the energy to go to the gym daily! :)
I am extremely excited for my surgery this coming Monday! It still doesn't feel real yet, but OMG is it ever!? I am so ready to start my new, healthy life.
I had my pre-op and hospital registration appointments yesterday, and all went well. Next, I'll be at the hospital at 6 AM Monday morning!
I am very confident in my surgeon, and in my choice to have gastric bypass. I look forward to sharing my successes! :)
I'm 32 years old and live in Houston, TX. I had my RNY Gastric Bypass on 10/15/07. So far, I have lost 85 pounds. My highest weight was 310 pounds. I'm not sure what my goal weight should be since I've never been thin, but I would guess around 145 lbs would be perfect.
I have a lot of obesity related diseases in my family, and I am ready to end the cycle. I have sleep apnea, adema, PCOS, exhaustion, knee and back pain, and many of the other major issues that obesity brings on.
