I have, like most everyone else, been big all my life. I have tried every diet and weight loss program and lost but gained back PLUS some every time. I was scheduled for the bypass surgery a year before I actually had it done. I changed jobs and had to restart the process. I went though NeWeigh in Houston Texas. My Dr is Dr J, and I had it done at First Street Hospital. WLS is not for everyone, but it was the best decision I made! Feel free to visit my URL at http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/bldwshd_group

Christmas 2007

OK. I must admit, it is great being down 138lbs, but this Christmas sucks! I am recently divorced, a mutual thing, and it is hard to be alone. I sit back and realize how better things will be for the both of us, but it is still hard as hell. Its hard to admit I am one of the statistics of a failed marriage. I do know it is for the better.

Now - I will also miss the big plate of prime rib, mashed taters, squase, etc...... But I would never take back the change I did in my life. I thank God everyday for giving my Dr the ability to do the surgery.

Century Club - I DID IT!!!

Well today is September 3 2007.  I have reached the century mark today - down 100.5 lbs!!!  I am so happy.  I am a little over 3 months post opt and love me new life.  I have posted some new pics - check them out.

My Story

I was scheduled for the Gastric Bypass back in 2006.  I was unable to get the time of from work at the time.  It all went down hill from there. I put it off and put it off.  I have a good friend who had the surgery around the same time I would have.  His wife had the surgery a little after.  I can KICK MYSELF for not haveing it.  They both look SO GOOD.  I can not wait until I have mine done.  When I first got on this site I was 420.  Now I am 402.  I am awaiting the approval now.  I changed jobs and as a result change insd companies.  The new one denied after first letter and then resubmitted appeal on Friday 4-20-07.  Now its a waiting game.  I will keep all posted as progression happens.
