I am pre-op and awaiting insurance approval. Dr. Rodriquez is willing to answer any questions you have during the office appointment. He had a wonderful personality and seems to show a sincere concern for his patients and tells you exactly what to do each step of the way and what I can expect.rnI would recommend him to anyone interested in bariatric surgery or even learning more about bariatric surgery.rnOne thing people need to know is that the doctor is not available to telephone questions but can get questions answered by by the doctor via a medical assistant. (this was my experience)rnHe does require an aftercare program that is sturctured including visits,and being active in the aftercare program. rnrnI am 3 years out of surgery and I have recommended Dr. Rodriguez to numerous people. Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
It was up and down. The stress of losing one parent and having one with altzheimers drove me to become anorexic. I lost @ 115 lbs in 6 months and after getting through that successfully, I was afraid to not eat to lose weight. Stress again began in my life and this time instead of not eating I began eating too much and got to @330 lbs. It was at that point that I wanted to get professional help and stop using food to control my life and basically get a life.

    Hello everyone, Your prayers are definately felt. It helped me get through a horrible hospital experience. I'm looking forward to feeling better and being on the losing side. It is day 2 after surgery and I am feeling very achy and feel like sleeping. I am alone today and am afraid to fall asleep as I may sleep to long and not move around enough. Due to my history of Clots I am using a spirometer every half hour and walking in the house on the hour. Thanks again for your prayers.
