Broke 210lbs...AND then some!

I weighed in at 207.8lbs this morning!  The stall is broken!!  I was really getting frustrated because in the passed 3 months, I have only lost 4 lbs.  I couldn't get the carb monster to stop controlling me.  I have been getting back to the gym and drinking about 100 oz of water.  I really think drinking half your body weight of water everyday is a large factor to losing weight.  I went to a Zumba class last night and I finished it!  The last time I tried Zumba, it kicked my butt and left me scared to try it again.  That was when I weighed about 250 lbs.  I reached down to tie my shoes, then I couldn't get up.  I was so embarrassed!  This time, I was worried that the same thing would happen, but to my surprise, I did great!!  I did bring water this time (might hav had something to do with it)  Anyway, I'm so happy with my loss today and my sleeve rocks!!

Broke the 220lbs stall!

As of yesterday morning, I weighed in at 219.4lbs!!!  I've been rather frustrated for the past 2 weeks because the scale had been yo yoing up .8 down .4 up .6 down .8.  Driving me crazy!!  I finally did it I broke the 220lb mark.  I haven't weighed this little in 15 years.  I'm going to try on my wedding dress and see if it fits!  I got on another plane ride last weekend, and I felt totally comfortable in those tiny seats.  I did however watch as people more overweight than me tried to get in those seats.  It made me so thankful for my sleeve!  It brought back memories of embarrassment and dread of airplane rides.  But no more for me!!!  I can cross my legs,  I can fit in the tiniest of boothes at restaurants, I don't have to go in the handicap stall in public restrooms.  Lots of NSVs lately.  Some I didn't realize until doing them a few times.  I wish I could try to sit in one of those tiny school desks that I hated to squeeze into when I took some college classes.  I even when to the disabilities office on campus and requested special desks that would fit me.  Embarrassing but necessary at the time.  My father-in-law said last night, "you're gonna be smaller than me soon, skinny!"  I think he weighs about 200lbs, so I guess he's right.  WOW!  I am SO looking forward to onderland.  19.4lbs to go!!  Overweight BMI for me is 29.9 which equals out to 197lbs.  22.4lbs.  I think that's doable.  I just gotta stay away from those damn carbs that I have been giving into lately.  Go away crackers, chocolate and pasteries!!  I have to admit, I have been snacking on those lately, in small amounts, but enough to stall the scale.  I know what I am supposed to do, so I just need to do it!!  My hunger is coming back a bit I think, or the new med I'm on makes me think about food ALOT.  I just need to keep myself in check and not give in to temptations. 

I'll blog again at 209lbs...10 more lbs here I come!!!

Below 230, BABY!!!

I haven't done much blogging for a while since for the last week and a half I have had a stall, sort of.  I stayed around 230-230.8 up and down.  Driving me crazy!  Until yesterday...the scale moved!  229.8 yesterday...228lbs today!!! Yeah!  I'm SO happy!  I'm on TOM.  It's so weird when I am on my cycle, I lose the most weight.  I don't understand it, but I'll take it.  Just 29lbs to go until onederland!! I haven't been there in about 17 years.  Life is SO much better since my VSG.  I have so much energy, I enjoy exercising and I feel so much better looking in the mirror and at my lab results.  My docs are happy and I am loving my life.  My husband calls me skinny butt. LOL.  I beg to differ until I reach goal, but it still feels good to hear that!  I really see the difference in my size now in recent pics.  The mirror was playing tricks on me and sometimes still does.  I still see a fat chick occasionally, which really is still true at my current weight, but I'm a far cry from 357lbs where I started in October 2011. 

I'll blog again at 219lbs.  Every 10lbs is a victory for me..well every lb is a victory!

Reality Check...

i CHECKED MY BMI calculator this morning and to be in "normal" range, I need to weigh 164lbs.  I still have 81.6lbs to go until I reach that.  I was setting it at 170lbs, but 7.4lbs more shouldn't be a huge task (I hope!).  46.6lbs til onderland!  I can't  believe it.  I weighed 245.6lbs this morning.  Lost .8lbs since yesterday.  YEAH!!  I think I have figured out what I need to eat everyday to maintain a steady loss. 

Here's normally what I eat:

B:  13 oz Click Mocha Coffee
L:  5.3oz of plain greek yogurt flavored with sugar free vanilla Torani syrup
S:  6-7 Turkey Bites (like beef jerky)
Dinner: 3/4 -1 cup FF cottage cheese
S:  Pure Protein bar
S:  Every once in a while.. 1 Reese's Dark Cup (I split the whole thing with my hubby)
S:  homemade chewy granola bar

It's working for me...I work out about 2-3 times per week on recubant bike, treadmill and/or 2 nights of water aerobics (love that) when I get time.  They only offer the classes on Tues and Thurs at 6:10pm.  Sometimes I don't leave work until after then :(

Anyway, that's my journey so far...it continues at a great pace...

Plane ride a HUGE success!!

I left on May 9th weighing in at 246.2lbs and got on an airplane at 11am.  I FIT COMFORTABLY!!  I didn't need an extension and I could lower the tray table ALL the way!!!  I teared up.  I've been looking around for a charm for my charm bracelet that has a plane on it or get hubby to buy me the sapphire ring I have been wanting.  I am so relieved that I can now ride on a plane without anxiety!!!  I got home on May 10th, yeah, quick trip, and I had gained .2lbs.  Not too bad since I didn't get much water or protein.  Back on plan today though.  Getting ready to push my water again.  I always lose more when I drink lots of water.  Anyway, I DID IT!!! I am SO happy!
