Hey girl,
I understand how you feel but you are doing great really . You are only 2 months post op and you are down 27lbs . If you average it thats 3.375 a week (even though I am sure you had a big drop at once but it still counts ) . I am 5 1/2 months post op and have lost 40.2 lbs . The weight loss is differnt for everyone and thats the biggest fault new banders have is when they compare their weight loss to others . You cannot do that . How about if I tell you that a coworker of mine had her band put on in November of 2007 and has lost 25 lbs . Also a woman I had met at my last fill appointment had hers done a year ago and is down 40lbs. So as you see everyone does not lose 2 lbs a week . There may be a week you lose 2, 5, or there may be a week you gain 2,or 5 and its okay . Do not get that whatever attitude because you will regret it later. Instead of giving yourself a weekly goal try a monthly or bi monthly goal. This way small fluctuations week to week won't frustrate you so much . The holiday weight loss challenges on this site are awesome. You set your goal whatever you chose and get to post your results on the Lapband forum and discuss strengths and weaknesses with other members. Labor Day is the first one I joined . I would like to lose 25lbs and I've lost 5. Hey if I meet it great if not there is always Thansgiving . This is a journey not a race. We will all meet our destiny it just make take some longer that others just stay positive and never forget how far you've come . No one's perfect but what matters is how hard you try.
