All is well and I am going to the gym 5 days a week!  I have worked my way up to 30 minutes on the treadmill so far....it is really invigorating let me tell you. After my workout I eat some sushi and vitamin water(totally nutz for sushi right now) I also find myself drooling over salad, currently spinach with slivered almonds and light rasberry walnut vinaigrette....yum! I find it very easy to eat the healthy foods and walk away from the junk.....is my ghrelin finally gone??? Must be.....shoot thats cool!  I have read from other posters on OH that it takes a couple months for the remaining grehlin in your body to leave after surgery. I know we will always have some grehlin in our bodies/intestines, just not as much. Oh and also I bought a little box of Kelloggs fiber drink mix to go in my water, it tastes like pink lemonade and I have no constipation problems now. I feel fantastic and my weight continues to drop. Thank you God for this gift.

Happy voting day! All is well with me and I feel great!  I have started going to the gym and walking on the treadmill. Working on getting in more liquids....there's only so much room in there!  But I know I need to try so that going to the bathroom will be easier. All protien all the time can make it difficult, so I need to work on getting in more fiber, maybe I will try benefiber. Also eat more veggies. My next shopping trip I will be looking for some bilingual B12 and a multivit.

Blessings,

I had my first post op appt. today and Im doing great! I love my sleeve because I still feel like me, just can't eat the man size portions anymore. Right now I can't even eat a child size portion! I will be on mushies for three more weeks. Im amazed that Im so satisfied on just a few ounces of soft food. It's really cool!! Im also drinking my protien shakes to get in enough protien and water. This is a lifestyle I can live with!!!

Blessings,

I'm back from surgery and feeling great.  It was a rough start because the pain medication made me super nauseous the first night after surgery, and I threw up like five times. Then the doc did an x-ray and barium swallow to make sure everything was OK. When I  was taken off the pain pump and given liquid vicoden, I felt a thousand times better. That first night I thought I had made the most colossal mistake.  Today I am thrilled that I did it plus so excited for the future!  And the Lord was with me.

Much Love,

O.K. people.......exciting news......I got a date! Im actually a little dumbfounded right now lol I've just been waiting so long.  I had my pre-op this morning and it was rather quick and easy.  Then the bariatric nurse came in and gave me a date. I get my banana in October......dang, do you think I will miss food?  Well it's time to lay down some ground rules with my old friend.  We will get along much better......Goodbye stretchy pants and hellooooo skinny jeans!!!

My Story

Proud Navy Wife  I got overweight having babies and eating to much. The women in my family get big and I was no exception.   Im 33 years old and I should feel like it.  So after many years of contemplating, I have finally found the answer for me.  I am a Christian who loves Jesus, and want to let anyone reading this know that Jesus loves you!!  My intention is to chronicle my WLS journey here, so that all the Navy Wives that go behind me will have an idea of how it works, military style!  Cause you know we are goin by a whole other set of rules right! :-)

His Blessings are Chasing me down!
Jenny
