Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I get very depressed some days. I dont feel comfortable in my own skin, and therefore I dont feel comfortable to go out in public. Some days I feel that I do not look good, and it doesnt matter what clothes I put on. Other days I feel great, and the little things dont bother me.

Slowly shaving time off my 5k!
on June 11, 2012 9:03 am
So this weekend I completed my first duathalon of the season. 5k kayaking and 5k running. I am not up to running just yet, but I did jog a good portion of it. Last month, i completed a 5k in 52 minutes. Yesterday I did it in 47 minutes! A full 5 minutes off my time, and a full 13 minutes faster than this time last year(74 lbs ago). Last year my 5k time was about an hour. I cant believe the transformation  this has been on my body and fitness level. I am so happy!

Registered for Triathalon!
on March 5, 2012 1:40 pm
Well today I secured my spot in my city's triathalon. I did it last year, and came in dead last. I trained and by the end of it, I was exhausted. I couldnt walk a couple hours after, and I was embarassed. Yes I made it, Yes I accomplished my goal, but this year WILL be different. By then I will be 5 months post op and my new goal is to beat my last time of 3 hours and 2 minutes. Someone please hold me to that!!!! The triathalon is 2 miles kayaking(and last year I was too heavy and flipped over in my kayak) 14 miles bike riding and 3.1 miles running(I walked it, maybe this year I can jog).

Two weeks out
on February 28, 2012 1:04 am
Ok so today I am two weeks out. I am 14 lbs down and it makes me feel great. I did have a little stall last week(yes already) but it may be over. I am a little discouraged though, because no one noticed that I have lost any weight yet. Its probably because Im bigger, and its hard to tell weightloss when your bigger until you get into big numbers. Hopefully i will see it soon too. I have been taking weekly pictures of my self to try and document this journey!
