Surgeon TestimonialGlen Moore, M.D.Dr. Moore has been nothing short of fantastic. He is very nice and he knows everything about the surgeries available. I wish I had a chance to meet with him more often than I did, but the surgery went perfectly and that's the most important thing. He has been so supportive and helpful with all my questions. He genuinely cares about all his patients and wants them all to succeed. I would recommend him to everyone.
As far as the practice as a whole, he has a wonderful staff. Missy & John are human encyclopedias about before & after care. They were always very kind and concerned. Missy even remembered who refferred me to them and they have a lot of patients. I was informed of everything in advance. They require you to go to a support group, psychologist, nutritionist, get lab work, and really apply yourself before you can even get your surgery scheduled. They have all your after care appointments set up for you and expect you to committ to showing up years later. It's a lifelong partnership.
It's no joke and they make sure of it. I couldn't have been in better hands.

Quick Note on June 12, 2008 11:23 am
Just wanted you all to know I'm alive and well. I'm doing okay with my weight. I'm sticking between 180 & 190. I'm not happy about that, but its my own fault. I had surgery in January and I wasn't allowed to work out for 6 weeks and then a bunch of bad things started to happen and I haven't been to the gym in 6 months. Rediculous! I'm getting things going again and I have no doubt that I'll be back in the 170's in no time.
I'm still very healthy and I look great. No one believes my actual numbers. I'm just very tall and carry it well. I would really like to have plastic surgery on my stomach and the girls, it will happen someday.
I'm very happy with the overall outcome and I wouldn't change a thing. Best decision I've ever made, minus getting sober! Without sobriety, I wouldn't have any of this!
Thanks for all your support, talk to you all soon!

Weight update on December 8, 2007 8:45 am
Just want to update something, still not feeling like putting too much out there. The scale is in between 182 and 183 now. That's almost 118 pounds gone! I can't believe I'm still losing and I haven't been to the gym in two weeks. Its awful, but its the truth. I've got to adjust to the weather and the darkness to change my mindset. I'm losing motivation in everything.
I'll leave some pics too!

Weight update on October 30, 2007 9:18 am
I guess the divorce diet works as well. I finally got into the 180's...189.5, but its 180's nonetheless! Not exactly the way I wanted to lose it, but I'm still eating well and getting some exercise in. I need to get back on track once everything slows down a bit.
I also want to get my plastics consult too, I get closer and closer every day. I just know that I can't afford it right now nor can I take the time off, but after the new year, I'm doing it!!!

Fall update. on September 27, 2007 5:38 am
I can't believe its almost October. This year has flown by rediculously. I'm still teeter tattering with my weight. I go from 191 to 193. I really want to break the 180's but I haven't been going to the gym in the last week or so. I had a pretty emotional week due to womanly problems and changes that have taken place. I'm in a new relationship and it's been really good so far but it's not easy. Things are so different now that I'm not drinking anymore. You have to feel all those feelings, if that makes sense?
I finally got my labs done yesterday for my one year post op appointment. I'm only 2 months behind, haha! I hope all my levels are right. I have an appointment with Dr. Moore next Thursday. I was really hoping to walk in there at goal, but I'm still about 10 pounds shy of his goal, I believe. I know he'll be happy with my results anyway. I'm doing well. Not perfect, but well!
I'm going to the gym after work and I'm gonna work really hard to hit 189 by next Thursday, that would rock!!!!
My PC was struck by lightening and died so I can't put any pictures up right now, but I will add something soon!!!

Martha. on August 23, 2007 4:53 am
Ever since I've had this surgery, I've turned into a cooking guru. I'm always trying to make new things and turn old things into healthier decisions. It works most of the time. My friends have started calling me Martha. Personally, I'd rather be Rachael Ray, but whatever. I'm a cooking machine. This is a shirt LeeLee bought me:
