Hello Everyone. My name is Bob and live in Mooresville, NC which is about 25 miles North of Charlotte. At the age of 47 I decided to have the Sleeve procedure and have it scheduled for June 28, 2012. WISH ME LUCK! I am also looking for other men that have or are about to have this procedure to discuss our success and help each other along the way.

I did it!

I lost my 6 pounds in two days, so my surgery is scheduled for tomorrow 06/27/2012! Wish me luck everyone!!

Thought I was doing good...

Well I weighed in today and they said that I lost 12 pounds. I thought I had lost 16 pounds, but I guess every scale is different. I have stuck with the liquid diet and have not excercided as much as I should, so I guess shame on me. I have 2 days to lose 6 pounds or they want to reschedule my surgery!

My Story

Well my story is like many others. I have been obese from the time that I can remember and have gone on just about every diet known to man (and women). At the age of 47 I have decided to look into weight surgery. I heard that my insurance paid for a few of my co-workers and thought to myself, why not me?  I also have Atrial Fibrillation which increases the chance of having a stoke by five times and have high blood pressure, a smoker, etc., I thought to myself, I have to do something before my family ends up putting me in the ground. 

With that being said, I went to T. Ryan Heider for my consult and now on my way to my surgery. My surgery is set for the 28th of June and have been on my liquid diet since June 12th and have lost exactly 10 pounds, which is pretty amazing. First 2-3 days were just bad, but as the days move on, it does get easier. Right now it's all a mind game and since I love to watch all the cooking shows, it's been a little harder!
