Surgeon Testimonial

Anthony Dibenedetto
My first impresion of Dr. D is that he was nice and understanding, but very straight forward and did not pull any punches, he tells you the way it is, not just what you want to hear. Never have changed my opinion and I really respect him as a surgeon. Very professional and very helpful, when you have any questions. He could scare you with how truthful he was but I still went through with the surgery because of how professional he is. He is very strict and wants you to follow-up and definitely wants you to attend the support meetings. Yes, Teresa DiBenedetto gave all patients a copy with a test included. At every appt and every meeting (informational) and at the final meeting before the surgery he makes sure that you understand without a doubt what the complications are. I think he is an excellent surgeon and that he does what ever is nessesary to make sure his patients understand what they are in for. He was great on all parts.

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I have always been an emotional eater. Whenever I have been happy, sad,mad embaressed I would turn to food to comfort myself and convince myself I would be fine. After I got married and had kids it got worse and I just didn't know what to do anymore.

Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

Seems very slow!!!!!
posted 7/25/07 9:34 am
Getting a little annoyed, seems like at first the weight was just falling off me, now it has slowed way down, is this normal. I am still losing weight, but only about 2 pounds a week. Since my surgery, I have lost 46 pounds and I am happy, just wish it was more. My surgeon seems very happy with my weightloss. Since I first started on my journey, I have lost 101 pounds and I am extremely happy with that. Can't wait to get down to the lower 200's, I now get around so much better than I have in a long time. I have only problems with a few foods, like with chicken, if it is really tender it makes me sick. I can eat anything else, pretty much, but only a little. Some foods give me cramps and gas. Definitely different with eating. Will be posting some pics soon to show the changes, so far.
