I am finally doing it.  I have thinking about this surgery for about 2 and half years.  I am in the process of getting the surgery approval and I don't know why but I am very optimistic.  I am hoping that I get approved on the first attempt. 

My Surgeon's office tells me that they thing we will have an answer in a few weeks.  Right now I'm trying to get all the consults and testing done.  It sure is a lot to do but it's worth doing since it lowers the risk. 

So far I have done the Pulmonary Clearence but everything else is scheduled over the next 3 weeks.

I GOT MY APPROVAL LETTER FROM AETNA.  I AM SO HAPPY THAT IT WENT THROUGH THE FIRST TIME! 

I AM PROGRESSING AND ONLY HAVE THE PSY EVAL, BLOODWORK, AND AN ECHOCARDIOGRAM TO COMPLETE.  OH YEAH AND I HAVE TO HAVE THE VENOUS FILTER PUT IN ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE SURGERY.

MY DOC'S OFFICE IS TRYING TO SCHEDULE ME FOR SURGERY THE WEEK OF JAN 15TH 2007.  I DON'T HAVE A SPECIFIC DATE YET BUT I AME GETTING SO CLOSE!!!
