TRAVELING THROUGH WEIGHT LOSS
Bon's Journey

SIX MONTHS LATER
Last week the nurse at the doctor's office told me I have the blood pressure of a teenager (120 over 66)!  I've been off my diabetic medication since the week before surgery!!!  My sugars are running under 5. So my primary goal has been accomplished.
I'm working out with a trainer twice a week and in between try to force myself downstairs where I have a treadmill, weights, ball, etc.  I wish I loved to workout but I don't, but I do love the way I feel and the way my body works when I work out regularly.
I've gone from size 24 to size 16, from 260 lb in March to 176 lb today.  I haven't experienced the remarkable weight loss that some others have but I am satisfied with my continuing progress.  I did experience post-op stricture and was scoped three times.  I still can't handle meat, chicken and fish very well but I keep trying things different ways.  Last week beef cooked in a crock pot worked so that's a whole new culinary adventure.  I've had to cutback on protein shakes and bars which don't sit so well right now and the sugar alcohols cause me gas problems.  Thinning hair, brittle peeling nails, finding clothes that fit for a few weeks without spending a fortune are the current challenges.  It's a challenging journey.
