Happy Halloween - All Hallow's Eve - Dia de los...

My biggest goal today was to get my butt to work!  LOL
I went in at 12:30 and was anxious to get there as I had lots to do.  Have already went for a 2 mile walk this morning - and froze!!!  I did wear 2 layers of clothes, gloves, and a toboggan.  Then I went to the tanning bed to thaw out.

Tried to plan my foods today so here goes:

B:   1 slice cheese, 1/2 slice toast, and a sugar cookie (damn those - have got to stop baking them!)
S:   1/2 of a left over Tilapia filet (Princess- the cat got the other 1/2!) , and 3 pita chips
L:    Veggie Burger w/ 1/2 bun and no mayo
S:    Tuna and handful of Dorito's
D:    Chocolate EAS protein drink - HAD TUNA INSTEAD
S:    6 P-nut butter and crackers (this has worked GREAT as my last snack of the day - it keeps my blood sugar from dropping too low at night)

Exercise:   2 miles at the track    I feel so much better when I get my walks in.   My next goal is to start some type of strength training and toning with weights....aiming for Jan. 09.

I need to pack a bag for the weekend.  I am going to VA after work tomorrow.   My nephew is 1 year old and his party is Saturday  evening.   I wouldn't miss it for the world!  Will try to post some pics when I get back and they can also count as my 8 month photos - since I haven't done those yet!!!

Well..........to start with, my sewage problem was the pump.  Something had thrown a switch and the pump was simply turned off.........whew!  No charges for that  :)

Today's Intake:

B:   1 slice toast and 2 slices of cheese
S:   1 sugar cookie, 5 chips
L:    1 soy chicken burger w/ swiss cheese
S:    1 sugar cookie and 2 slices of kiwi fruit (dumped on this!)
D:    1 Tilapia filet, 3 bites corn
S:     1 pk. hot peanuts
D2:    Probably an egg and 1/2 biscuit

Exercise:   YAH!  I took advantage of the nice weather and went for a 2 mile walk at the track this evening.  Finally got motivated to do it.  I think I missed it more than I realized..........and it is a great way for me to release stress instead of eating!

When it Rains it Pours

Did not make it to work today. 
Thought I smelled a gas leak as I was leaving this morning.  Called and had the heating company come check it.  It wasn't a gas leak - but it is a sewer problem!!!!!!   And a new sewer and pump was installed last spring!!!!  So now I am trying to get in touch with the plumber!  The good part is maybe it is still under warranty.  I am hoping anyway.
My god - does it ever end?
Why so much bad karma coming my way?
Also lots of stress by not being at work - and stress if I go to work!  UGH.

Today I had to miss work - again....and feeling horrible about it.  Donovan's poison ivy had worsened and he had a fever with sore throat and sinus issues.  Took him to the Dr.  He got 2 shots and is on antibiotics now.  He is already asleep and not feeling well.

This afternoon, I got my driver's license changed back to my original name, had passport photos taken, and have sent off for my passport!!!!  :) 

Today's Intake:

B:  2 eggs, 1 slice toast
L:   Reno's - 6 grilled shrimp, 2 slices of cucumber, 1 cherry tomaote,  several bites of a Spanish Rosebud/Bloomin Onion thing, and a handful of peanuts  ( I dumped later and I am blaming the Onion - way too much grease!)
S:  1/2 granola bar
D:  1 baked Tilapia filet, 1/4 c. corn w/ peppers and onion, 2 Tablespoon saffron rice, 2 slices of english cucumber
S:  1/2 serving farina, 1/2 c. SF mandarin oranges
S:   1 small sugar cookie ( my stomach is hurting from this one too), and 2 slices of cheese (making an effort to get a little protein there)

Not sure why I am eating "bad" things.....stress maybe - my old comfort foods, hormones ?? who knows but I need to do better tomorrow!

Exercise:  Embarassed to say none.  Not sure how to get myself remotivated and back on track.   I feel like I simply don't have time anymore.

Today's Intake:

B:   1 egg, 1 slice toast, few tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese
L:    1 slice toast, 1 vegan patty, slice of tomatoe
D:    Fazoli's - 1/2 slice cheese pizza, side of shrimp, 1/2 of a breadstick
D2:  1/4 c. Kraut, 3 slices of fried potatoe, 6 P-nut butter crackers

Exercise:   None.  :(

Tuesday Oct. 28, 2008 - VENTING

Had a VERY stressful night.  My son left home.  He is 16 -almost 17.
We had a big fight and it was over money - I don't know where I have went wrong but I have obviously spoiled him way worse than I would have ever imagined.  He is wanting $3000 for another truck.  I told him no.  He tells me I am greedy and he can't wait to leave home.  I tell him he needs to get a job and earn his own money.  I also told him that I love him very much but it has come to the point that I am not going to keep giving him money - it is time to work for it.  I honestly think he only loves me because I give him what he wants.  I have been up crying all night.
He did call from my parents home in VA.....so he drove there last night.  At least I know where he is now.
I've got to work on getting him home and mending our relationship.  I love him dearly and I want him to be a good responsible adult.  I am so torn.  I know if I give him the money he will come home, but that is sooooo not the right thing to do.  I have got to hold strong on this one.

Monday Oct. 27, 2008 - Playing Catch Up.

Had a WONDERFUL weekend in Louisville.  It was great meeting the KY board girls.  The walk was awesome - for such a great cause.  Made me think a lot about my grandmother who had breast cancer and had a breast removed.  Good healing for me.

Didn't do too bad on the food. 

Sunday's  Intake:
B:  1 egg McMuffin minus the meat
L:   Veggie Burger from BK minus the mayo and 1/2 bun
S:   6 P-nut butter crackers
D1:  6 Thai Phoon Shrimp and a salad loaded with edamame, black beans, and chick peas from Ruby Tuesday
D2:  1/4 lb. popcorn shrimp with Medium buffalo sauce and a few fries from BW3's

Exercise:  5K walk in Louisville

Today's Intake:
B:   Bagel with cream cheese
L:   Veggie burger no mayo and 1/2 bun, few bites of a salad with honey mustard sauce from Hard Rock Cafe
S:   Veggie Patty 1/2 bun
S:   Protein Cereal - dry (no milk)  Kay's Natural Apple Cinnamon
D:   2 eggs and 2 slices of cheese, 3 pita chips and 3 sour cream and onion chips

Exercise:   Walked 10 blocks today!

Saturday's Intake

Today's Intake:

B:   1 egg, 1 toast, 1 cheese slice, 1 slice tomatoe
S:   3 ritz crackers, SF rice pudding
L:   PBJ on whole wheat toast
S:  pack of tuna, 3 crackers
D:  6 grilled shrimp, 1/2 c. beans, chips and salsa
S:  6 grilled shrimp
S:  ???  probably a kiwi fruit

Exercise:  Going to get mine tomorrow at the Making Strides Walk!!!!

8 Month Update

Today is my 8 month surgery date and the results are:

I am down a total of 97 lbs. and 56. 5 inches  
I am only down 4 lbs. from last month and totally ok with that.  But I have lost 3 inches off of my chest, 2.5 off of my waist, 2 off of my hips, and 0.5 off of my thighs in the past month!!!!  How does that happen? This is a perfect example of losing inches instead of lbs!!! 

Off to work.  Will post my daily intakes later.
